This IS NOT a walkthrough. It is designed to give pointers for the game
and present the main areas where you can score 'points' with the girls.
Think of this as a 'recipe' for getting the girl you're interest in =).
If you want a walkthrough, see Vendetta's True Love Walkthrough for a
step-by-step, day-by-day procedure to get nine of the ten girls in one
run (available on my website, since I don't have permission from him
directly to submit it). Personally, I think it's more fun with the guide,
replay the game over and over, but that's my opinion :).
This game is SO complex! You could see smoke coming out of my head trying
to put together this guide! Being complex, the information in this guide
may not be 100% correct. Please send comments and corrections to the above
address. Note that this information was mainly ripped from the game and
later tested. However, due to complexity, it's extremely difficult to
test every single possibility (hence, the high replay value).

* you CAN'T get Akane (the girl in front of the hotel)
* you CAN'T walk around the festival with anyone else but Mikae
* ALL characters appear to be available in ALL modes... just that it may be
more easy or difficult to get that particular character, since the amount
of attributes you get in each mode differs with the mode.
1. General
==========
* the girl(s) you lay during the game will be the ones which you can
successfully choose at the end (except Anze if your passion isn't high
enough and Yumi if you didn't keep your scholarship up?)
* always say 'I don't regret it' after being laid if you're chasing that
particular girl.
* although it's not always necessary, make sure you have a gift for the end
of the game to give to your True Love. It's added to the 'points' that
girl has.
2. Notes
========
* default name is Daisuke if you don't punch in a name....
* dai suki <- Jap expression for "I love you" ^_^'
* the first time you WORK, you'll see Remi's father.
* the next time you WORK (or a few times after), Toshio'll drop by to bother
you.
* Gods of education, strength, art, beauty, and pleasure will visit you in
your dreams if you work hard in their disciplines (ie: do that particular
thing all day for a few days). Some may not appear in character types
outside normal or particular ones.
* Gods of education, strength, art, beauty, and pleasure appear only ONCE or
not at all during the game.
* Gods generally give you a stats boost of about 20 and reduce fatigue.
* maxing out your stats (ie: putting the same thing two or three times)
sometimes isn't a good idea, since it takes time and after the god's
visited you, it's back to the normal 2-3 pts per time spent.
* God of luck leaves you an envelope on the ground of 10000 yen, which is
the first out-of-the-way step needed to pursue Arisa.
* God of games will visit in your dreams if you played the game at the PC
club during the festival.
* the type of character you have from that beginning affects the way that
points come to you, as well as your max limits.
* the unusual things you find during shopping can help increase your stats
(see Items section).
* don't play BlackJack. It's rigged so you'll usually lose when you double
up.
* Red Bracelet unusual object 'unrigs' the games for the most part (you win
2nd in the lotto if you buy a ticket). [get a lotto on the June 26th
with red bracelet and you'll win First Prize. I did this and it won 6
out of 7 times, the 7th time being Second Prize. --Cevn McGuire].
* fourth slot in the unusual items shop changes each month (see Items section)
* fortune teller shows up after shopping if you spend a lot of time in the
back streets (browsing or otherwise).
* it's only possible to get the following grades: no.1, no.13, no.131,
no.185, no.194.
* lottery first place is 50000 yen, second is 10000 yen, third is 5000 yen,
fourth is 1000 yen, and fifth is 100 yen.
* try to avoid doing something two or three times in a row as it may cause
events to not occur. Also, events may not occur if some other unrelated
event hasn't yet occured.
* BREAK and PLEASURE do not affect passion (except for neglecting it, which
may cause it to go down).
* [Blackjack...play on July 8th and can win up to 32K on the double up, if
starting with 10K or more yen. --Cevn McGuire]
* [once a player's "specialty" area is maxed at 160, can go as low as 156
before reupping. When reupping, get 4 points instead of usual 2-3! If
max out one area early in the game, then this allows for more points
overall, because you don't have to pick that area as often. --Cevn
McGuire].

Anze's name doesn't show up until the end since you don't remember. I had
a 90% completion her and STILL didn't have her name I chose her at the end.
4. Character 'Affiliations'
===========================
Each girl appears to have some sort of stat or hobby that interests them
that you have to keep up.
Mikae Morikawa -> NOT Scholarship.
Remi Himekawa -> Scholarship (do lots of STUDY).
Miyuki Tanaka -> Art (do lots of ART LEARNING)
Mayumi Kamijo -> Appearance (do lots of FASHION)
Chiemi Fujimoto -> Physical Strength (do lots of SPORTS)
Misako Sayama -> no stat requirement (do lots of PLEASURE)
Ryoko Shimazaki -> no stat requirement (you need lots of key events, though)
Arisa Miyoshi -> no stat requirement (do lots of PLEASURE)
Yumi Matsumiya -> save Mayumi from Mikisaki AND Scholarship (do lots of
STUDY)
Anze -> Passion
5. Character Events
===================
Okay, this part's not like a tip sheet in the above section. Continue
reading if you want to know when you need to do things to get a particular
girl.
n.b. save often. Sometimes events occur randomly or may not appear at all
(reload and try again).
* next to the name denotes probably has some other stats requirement, since
I couldn't always follow the directions and get it.
Mikae Morikawa
* one of the more straight-forward characters, extremely easy to get.
* keep all your promises (okay, you might be able to get away with missing
one or two, but not the last one)
* be nice to her and always try to go home with her
* July 9: chance to go home with Mikae after school. Go home with Mikae.
* July 14 to July 16: it'll be raining after school. Share umbrella with
Mikae.
* August 3 to August 14: run in with Mikae in front of flat during daytime
if you chose PLEASURE any time of day. She'll set up a date.
* August 15: date with Mikae during daytime (DON'T FORGET, could still get,
but why chance it? ^_^').
* August 26: Toshio trying to pick up Mikae at school. Go after Mikae
(this might have an impact, I'm not sure).
* NOTE: Mikae's birthday is on September 28th.
* September 22: after the exam, Mikae'll set a date during the evening of
the 28th.
* IMPORTANT: if your grades are too high, Remi'll also ask you for a date.
[if you set Remi's date on the 27th and forget Remi's date, you can still
get Mikae. --DarkHawk]. If you set it up on the 28th, she'll walk in on
you and Mikae and Mikae's pts'll drop bigtime.
* NOTE: Get a gift for Mikae!
* September 28: get together with Mikae during the evening (DON'T FORGET).
* Mikae Morikawa and Remi Himekawa are opposites (ie: you could only get
one but not the other in one run... then again, there's Vendetta's
walkthrough, which is really well prepared so you can get both... ^_^).
Remi Himekawa
* one of the more straight-forward characters. More work involved.
* July 8: run into Remi at school
* July 10: run into Remi at school, get ranted at by Kameo
* Around July 12: run into Remi at school (rock scissors paper) (I got this
one on July 11 for some reason).
* July 16: run into Remi during daytime (~5pm)
* July 21 to July 23: talk with Remi after school, choose walk home together.
* August 11 to August 15: Remi'll drop by. If you have the rabbit pendant,
she'll ask about the pendant. Give her the pendant. In any case, she'll
set a date.
* August 17: date with Remi (at library) during daytime (DON'T FORGET).
Say 'don't worry, I've just arrived too' and DON'T say 'love hotel' in
the next choice.
* IMPORTANT: keep your scholarship HIGH (ie: 160!)
* September 17: you ask for a date with Remi, but she says only if your
marks are good (ie: no.1). You'll need a 160 in Scholarship and study
the day before the exam to make no.1.
* IMPORTANT: keep studying!
* September 22: Remi'll ask you for a date if you got no.1. in class.
Choose 27th unless you want trouble with Mikae (not a factor if you
shun Mikae, though).
* September 26 or September 27: if you chose to date Remi on 27th, then
she'll be kidnapped. Choose the LEFT road for the shortcut (doesn't
matter, really).
* choose her in the end.
* Mikae Morikawa and Remi Himekawa are opposites (ie: you could only get
one but not the other in one run... then again, there's Vendetta's
walkthrough, which is really well prepared so you can get both... ^_^).
Miyuki Tanaka
* not too difficult to get her. Keeping your art level high is essential.
* July 8 to July 23: max out your ART so that Miyuki'll notice you (I
think you need about 100 [I got her second time with art around 70.
--Vendetta].
* July 28 to August 22: run into Miyuki in front of park during daytime
or evening (NOT night). She'll ask you if she was a bother, say 'of
course not'.
* August 17 to August 23: run in with Miyuki at central park (if doing
ART) during daytime or evening and set up date
* August 24: date with Miyuki during daytime (DON'T FORGET)
* August 25: Miyuki'll set another date for the daytime of the 31st
* August 31: second appointment with Miyuki during daytime (lay)
(DON'T FORGET)
* choose her in the end.
Mayumi Kamijo *
* one of the tougher characters to get in the game. The game seems to be
fickle.
* July 6: if doing FASHION at NIGHT, run in with Mayumi at the train station
at night (almost mistake her for a hooker)
* July 14 to July 16: it's raining. Turn down Mikae's offer to share her
umbrella and Mayumi'll turn up and walk home with you.
* July 17 to July 31: go out for PLEASURE or FASHION during the evening and
you'll go on a date/meal with Mayumi.
* July 29 to August 15: choose PLEASURE or FASHION at night to run into
Mayumi in the back streets (hotel).
* NOTE: the following step is CRUCIAL. I had to double FASHION just to get
it, and I can't always get it.
* August 16 to August 29: choose FASHION at evening? night? and Mayumi'll
run into you and drop her underwear.
* August 31: run in with Mayumi about her sold clothes if you got her
underwear. Give it back and she'll set up a date on September 7th.
* September 2: save Mayumi from Mikisaki (if you got Mayumi's underwear
before).
* September 7: run in with Mayumi (lay) at the train station during
evening. Say that you're lovers and go to a love hotel.
* choose her in the end.
Chiemi Fujimoto
* pretty easy to get. Keep high appearance and high physical strength.
* be generally nice to her.
* keep your physical strength and appearance high. She'll call you a hunk.
* [Chiemi..no point difference if you say "masc" or "fem" during encounter
in park. At the swim meet, no point diff between 'great body' or 'nice
suit', although her reaction to nice suit is better. If you don't
compliment her on jogging "10K", no further meetings. --Cevn McGuire]
* July 13 : run into Chiemi at central park if you do SPORTS during
daytime.
* July 25 to August 15: run into Chiemi during daytime in central park
* July 27: opportunity to compliment Chiemi. Tell her that 'she has a
great body'.
* August 1 to August 15: run in with Chiemi in central park if you do
SPORTS during the daytime (catapiller?)
* August 17 to August 28: run in with Chiemi at the beach (if doing sports)
* August 18 to August 30: run in with Chiemi (lay) at beach if doing sports
during evening.
* choose her in the end.
Misako Sayama
* pretty easy to get.
* July 2 to July 20: choose PLEASURE at night to run into Misako at the
park.
* July 8 to July 30: choose PLEASURE at night. If it's the second time
you run into Misako, she'll take you to a bar. Say 'I can't believe he
dumped you'.
* September 3: Misako shows up at the college.
* September 4: Choose to help Remi with the festival. Kameo will drop a
box on your foot and you'll need to see Misako. Say that you're used to
it, you don't have anyone else special in your life and 'going to woo her'.
* choose her in the end.
Ryoko Shimazaki
* complicated to get. You have to get ALL of these events or it WON'T work
(I lucked out the first time, then had TONS of trouble trying to get it
the next time).
* NOTE: the following event is key, or you won't get past the part that uses
that info later.
* August 1 to August 3: If your (art? passion?) is high enough if you're
out doing art, you'll see run into Ryoko's brother in the backstreets and
Akane'll think he's a porn movie producer.
* August 10 to August 20: Choose SHOPPING or PLEASURE during daytime.
Ryoko's brother asks you what you think of Sonoko Takahashi. Say that you
like her.
* September 1: Ryoko's introduction
* September 3: Run in with Ryoko on the roof. Say that OK about being her
friend.
* September 8 to September 10: Kazuhiko shows you Sonoko Takahashi's CD and
you find infer her secret. You'll run into her again and be all thumbs.
She'll run after the bus.
* September 9 to September 13: Ryoko meets Mikae. Mikae leaves. In class,
Ryoko'll notice you're acting funny. She'll later admit her secret. Tell
her that you like her and that your opinion of her won't change if she
were Sonoko Takahashi.
* September 13 to September 17: Run into Ryoko's brother during the morning.
* September 17 to September 19: Ryoko and her brother will be talking.
You'll think he's trying to convince her into doing a porn movie. The
truth'll come out, Ryoko'll get pissed and she'll run away with you.
DON'T kiss her. Walk her home instead.
* September 18 to September 20: The next day she won't be in class.
* September 18 to September 26: Ryoko (lay) shows up to your flat after
running away from home if doing SPORTS at NIGHT. Tell her that you love
her.
* September 19 to September 27: Following the previous day, Ryoko tells
you what happened with her brother.
* choose her in the end.
Arisa Miyoshi
* complicated to get. Time-critical.
* July 28 to August 3: run into Arisa at beach if doing SPORTS at any time
of day
* August 1 to August 8: choose PLEASURE during the evening to pick up an
envelope (from God of Luck) at train station. Arisa'll pop up. Say 'Ok,
I'll hang out with you'. She'll later ask if there's something you like.
Say 'Yes'. Choose to go home together. (I had to study during daytime
first to get this to work for some reason)
* August 9: Kazuhiko gives you back the money you lent him if you're
seeing Arisa and on the right track.
* August 10 to August 20: STUDY at home. Arisa shows up if you picked up
the envelope. Say 'you look better with a smile on your face'.
* August 20: if you do sports on this day, Kazuhiko'll come on to you.
* August 21: Kazuhiko comes back for his game he lent you.
* August 27 to August 30: do PLEASURE during the daytime. You'll run into
Arisa at the train station (lay).
* September 30: if you went to the beach on August 20th, Kazuhiko'll come
over and profess his love.
* choose her in the end.
Yumi Matsumiya *
* probably the toughest character in the game to get.
* you have to get ALL of Mayumi's plot, plus:
* maintain a high scholarship
* September 13 to September 18: PLEASURE at night. She'll be drunk and
take you back to her place after you get hurt. Say 'I don't think so',
and hug her.
* choose her in the end.
Anze
* not too complicated to get but somewhat elusive.
* to have her come back, you have to have HIGH passion (I usually kept it
from 90-99. It's important to have it high by September 30 if it drops,
though).
* August 1 to August 5: Anze-neko (neko = cat) shows up if you do SHOPPING
during the evening and if you have the wings of an angel (up August 5).
Take the kitten in.
* August 10: Anze'll transform if you do FASHION during the evening and
if you've taken in the kitten that showed up.
* choose her in the end. If you don't remember her, then your passion
wasn't high enough.

You can usually buy the stuff for yourself often. Unusual items generally
don't generally restock if you own one (though I managed to get two wings
for some reason).
For yourself:

- reduces fatigue by 20
- increases physical strength by 20
Study Book (3000 yen)
- increases scholarship by 10
Art Book (3000 yen)
- increases art by 10
Adult Magazine (3000 yen)
- increases passion by 5

- clean a man of all sins? Maybe increases all girls pts?
8. Fortune Teller
=================
The 9 subjects that the fortune teller will talk to you about are:
"You may find luck if you get bad test results on purpose... Or something
good may happen if you keep your grades up, it depends on you..."
This refers to being able to get Remi or Mikae. You can't get both in one
run. If you get high enough marks to date Remi, Mikae'll dump you (only
way around it is if you set Remi's date on the 27th and forget your promise).
"You will have trouble with water..."
This refers to Arisa and the swimming competition.
"I see ears...a tail...this animal is...it looks like, no! It's something
else."
This refers to Anze.
"Do not pursue one matter but concern yourself with many matters, you will
have more chance meeting women if you do so."
This refers to Miyuki and Chiemi, who you run into only if you pursue their
hobbies.
"Also, if you make a promise with a girl never break it, you may never be
able to make up for it."
This refers to all girls in general. If you fail to show up for a date,
it is nearly impossible to make up for it (except Mikae's and Remi's FIRST
date).
"This is serious...a girl is in need of help in the student counsel room..."
This refers to Mayumi and Mikisaki's attempt to rape her.
"A female teacher... I see a female teacher... A female teacher... (could it
be Miss Yumi)"
This refers to Yumi after Mikisaki leaves school.
"This time it's for real...hum, I see 2 college girls... it's important to
keep a promise with a girl..."
This refers to Mikae's and/or Remi's date in September.
"By the way, do you like cats?"
This probably refers to Anze AFTER she's wiped your memory.

10. Key Dates
=============
This listing provides a rough date as to when events occur in the game. Not
all of them are correct for each girl, though.
n.b. some lines have another date included. This is the 'up to' date. I
haven't figured it out yet, but it means that the even can either happen
a) from the date to that date, or b) specifically on that date.
n.b. most things 'at school' will be part of the daytime
n.b. some dates are approximate, dependent on other events
n.b. save often. Sometimes events occur randomly
n.b. some events are dependent on your stats. I haven't worked those out
yet, though, so try to keep your stats as high as possible.

up and you'll go home with her.
- Mikae -> on July 14 (up to 16th), if you don't go with Mikae, she'll see
you with Mayumi and run off.
- Arisa -> on August 27, choose 'I'm coming' or 'I can hold it' (whichever
you didn't choose the first time round).
12. Advanced Tips
=================
- MIDI is played through the default MIDI mapper. If you've got a wavetable
soundcard and it's set as default, you're in for a treat.
- pressing ALT-ENTER can get the game to run in a window.
- the file SAVE contains all the slots for your save games. To back up the
saves, just copy SAVE.
- the file END holds the information containing what's been completed and
what's not. 00h means not completed, FFh means completed.
To get all the pics, fill the file with FFh (or character 255).
To do with in EDIT, create a new file, hold ALT, press the numbers 2 5 5
on the NUMERIC pad, and release ALT.
Repeat ALT 2 5 5 255 more times and save the file as SAVE in your TL
directory.
Tada! Instant fix. Not too difficult.

* Toshio is dating Ayeka, Sasami, and Ryo-ohki? What about Mishoshi and

To patch the Photoshop (CG ROOM) so all pictures are visible, use a
binary/hex file editor on the file END in the TRUELOVE directory on
your hard drive. Change the entire contents of this file, all 256 (FF
hex) bytes, to the value FF hex, and all the categories will go to
100%. This will NOT do anything for seeing the endings so you know
what really happened, it just turns on all the pictures.
You have two possibilities to cheat with an hex editor:

Now you have maxed out all figures but Fatigue, which still is 0. If
you need it again later in the game this hexing can be repeated later
again.
Percent:
Open END with an hex editor and change the first 11 rows completely
to FF. Now you can see all pics in the CG room and everything is set
to 100%.
Once the main program (T_LOVE95.EXE) starts, you have no normal
Windows controls unless you use keyboard commands, e.g. Alt-Tab. The
mouse does all the work in the game. Right- or left-click while text
is slowly printing out to finish it.
The Photoshop shows up as the "CG ROOM" option on the main menu. It
starts out with 11 entries all at 0%. Click on a girl's name, and then
you get the pictures in the photoshop for her, one at a time. Each one
is shown with two options: the bottom one exits back to the main menu,
the top one goes on to the next picture. When you get to the last
picture, it goes back to the CG menu. You will get sick and tired of
that "venetian blind" transition effect here, and while playing the
game.
The Music player has 15 selections. To switch to a different
selection, press the ">>" or "<<" buttons. Note that #10 has no
description until you get to 100% with Anze. Press the eject
(triangle above horizontal bar) button to leave the Music player
screen.
Up to 6 saved games are allowed.
The English translation could be better. Notice that Mikae mentions
on July 1 that it might snow!? Amazing how September 1 is both the
first and last day of the term/semester...
Your first choice in the game is what to say to Mikae - love / hate /
"want to have sex" (which she basically ignores).
Next, if you'll loan 3,000 Yen to Kazuhiko - yes / no. If you do,
you'll open up a sequence involving seeing Chiemi and getting the
"Final Oxymoron VII" game cartridge that helps you see Kazuhiko's
sister Arisa.
Things get complicated after that...
There's some randomness in what happens, you can reload a game and
get different results! Especially for the events that occur as you
walk from place to place - one time I found Mayumi's panties, but
when I reloaded 5 times the best I got was being chased away by
Mikisaki.
THE GIRLS (AND ONE GUY)
Anze (the Angel):
1. buy "angel feather" item at wierd shop for 10,000 yen
2. take in cat
3. several days later, the cat will turn into Anze
4. "could this be it?" will lead to sex with Anze, she turns back
into a full-fledged (heh) angel
5. she'll be back at the very end of the game, choose her
Her CG can't be selected even when it's 90% - you have to get to 100%
with her to see any of them. She's the first hidden character in the
game, and the most obvious.
Mikae: Call her on the 15th? (of July or August?)
Wants to see "At the end of youth and love" at the movies, you'll need
2600 or 1300 yen to pay for tickets.
Birthday September 28th. She WILL know if you've fucked Remi or even
gone on the kidnapping/date with her, so you might as well not even
bother meeting her after doing Remi.
If your statistics aren't acceptable at the end of the game, Mikae
says you should be kinder.
Remi: need to have high Scholarship - 160 will get you #1 of 194,
and a date with Remi except that she's kidnapped! go "left" to save
time. choice of "make love to Remi" or "resist her" - duh! By the
way, you have a choice of meeting her for the date/kidnapping/possible
sex on the 27th or 28th.
Does something special happen if you give Remi the rabbit pendant from
the wierd shop? May have to do this before the library date?
Does it matter which of the 3 places (library, college, love hotel)
you propose for your next date?
Although the weird guy who calls himself the Meiai defence force says
he wants 3000 yen to open the locked boot (car trunk), the game won't
take any of your money.
Do NOT ask Remi for a date on the 28th, or somehow she and Mikae will
meet and both will leave.
Arisa: Katzuhiko's sister who looks much younger than the 18 she's
supposed to be. At the swimming race on 7/27, go after the drowning
person to save her and first meet Arisa. Not sure what you need to
do after that...
Your chance to go further with Arisa is when Kazuhiko gives you the
"Final Oxymoron VII" cartridge - she'll come over to your flat to
play it.
Mayumi:
Will meet you for lunch, and comes up for a voucher to pay even if you
have the money.
Will drop a pair of panties in front of the "used clothes" store, and
you keep them. Mikisaki will tell you to leave the area, or you can
get an event where you don't get the panties and he tells you to go
away anyway.
You can give Mayumi's panties back to her, 9/07 evening to go to an
amusement park. 2000 yen each for park, 4000 or 7000 yen for love
hotel.
There's a scene where she's molested by Mikisaki, but you and Yumi
find out and bust him.
Yumi: after the "pile of papers" breast fondling, and the panty
viewing when she visits your flat, you have to find Yumi out on the
street at night when she's drunk sometime after Mikisaki left (see
Mayumi). There's a wierd guy, probably a mugger...
Miyuki: probably need to have high Appearance and/or Physical
Strength and/or Art, but she'll ask you to model for her. Buy shorts
for 3000 or 4000 yen. Her place next Sunday lunch/afternoon.
If your statistics are unacceptable at the end of the game, she says
you should "reflect on yourself more."
Ryoko: first shows up on September 1, then you can meet her on the
roof of the college to first get the idea that she looks like somebody
else without those glasses...
Kazuhiko will mention Sonoko Takahashi, and you'll finally figure it
out. That skinny guy with the beard is her brother/agent.
Misako: meet her at the train station the first time.
She eventually becomes the substitute school nurse.
Akane: shows up around August 08 when you see the guy with a beard
looking for girls (Ryoko's brother). says she'll be back, haven't seen
her yet...
may not be a real character...
Kazuhiko: can be your gay boyfriend!?
Lend him 3000 yen on the first day to see Chiemi (or at least some
girls) in the changing room, allows him to buy the "Final Oxymoron
VII" game cassette that he gives to you later.
Arisa will come to your flat to play the game.

gets you a +20 bonus in it too) or you have an encounter/date with

If you get the high score at Kazuhiko's game on August 6th, the god
of games give you +10 or so in all the good statistics. I'm not
sure what you need to get the high score, but I had over 100 in
everything at the time, including a rabbit pendant and wiseman's
jeans.

Apparently the Anze sequence is supposed to involve you seeing a
fortune teller during play, but I didn't see him until the end.
The fortune teller, if you meet him, should charge you 300, 500, or
1000 yen to give you some hints. Some of these hints are:
You may find luck if you get bad test results on purpose.
You may get something good if you keep your grades up.
You may meet a young-looking girl at the beach (probably refers to
Arisa and the swimming contest).
I see ears and a tail... (gives $ back) Keep your Passion high!
(probably refers to Anze)
(500 yen) I see a girl, a man & a woman in the student counsel room.
You will meet Miss Yumi when drunk.
(300 yen) Watch your promises to 2 girls, do you like cats?
The game text is in the DATE file (DATG for German). A lot of what is
mentioned above is from there, so don't be surprised if I got a few
things wrong, or they can never happen in the game.
The boss at the part-time job (WORK) is Remi's father.
Work always pays 3000 yen, raises Physical Strength and Fatigue, but
lowers Appearance and possibly Scholarship & Art.
When you get to September 30, the game will give you an opportunity
to save, then let you pick a girl to propose to. You'll probably have
only a few of the total that may say yes, some you may have seen only
once in this particular play of the game. Pick one, then you find out
if she likes you too - if she does, you get one more picture (several
more for Anze) and then the credits; if she doesn't, you get a speech
and the credits. Either way, the credits are really annoying after
the first time you see them... I couldn't find any way to speed them
up! They do mention there may be a sequel.
My first time playing, I managed to get all the statistics up to
maximum at least once (except Fatigue), and be able to choose between
Mikae, Remi and Anze by backing up to 9/27 and either doing or
skipping the date with Remi. So you shouldn't have any trouble getting
the highest statistic values if you concentrate on them, I think you
can get some up to maximum even faster if you work and spend money on
the shop items.
True Love Walkthrough
by Vendetta.
Well, some people were working on one, but noone ever actually made a complete
walkthrough for True Love yet. I decided since someone would create one
eventually, it might as well be me. And so, on the 27th of June 1999, I did.
This is the most complete walkthrough I could think of: I’ll be telling you
exactly which activities you should plan for every day and the answers to every
question you are asked in the game. If you follow this walkthrough to the
letter,
you should be able to see each and every H-scene and get each girl’s ending in
the same game. ...Well, all except Mikae that is. You see, she and Remi are
mutually exclusive. But she’s so easy to get that I’m sure noone will mind:
Simply start a new game and don’t study so often and Remi won’t ask you out on a
date. Then if you do everything else in this walkthrough you’ll be able to get
Mikae but not Remi in the end.
After completing the game, you may notice you’re still missing a picture in
Mayumi’s and Arisa’s CG area. To get the last picture for Mayumi, go with Mikae
on July 14, when it’s raining. To get the last picture for Arisa, choose “I’m
coming” instead of “I can hold it” on August 27.
I’ll put the activities for each day in this format: Morning/Evening/Night.
Remember, some events seem to happen at random. So be sure to SAVE OFTEN. That
way, if an event which is listed in this walkthrough doesn’t happen at the date
at which I said it would occur, you can simply load the game and do exactly the
same thing again. You’ll often find that (maybe after a few more tries) it does
happen the next time. Also, I’ve left a couple of events out. Generally, these
are relatively unimportant events which seem to always occur no matter what you
do and don’t impact the game in any way.
Finally, a little tip for all you impatient people who don’t want to see every
scene they’ve already seen again: I’ve found that by keeping the ENTER key
pressed you’ll quickly skip all dialogue until you a) to make an important
choice, b) hear a sound effect, or c) you reach the end of the day.
Okay, now... on to the walkthrough!
First of all, start a new game (duh;) and enter your name.The first important
choice comes right now, before even actually starting the game. The type of
person you select can influence the way you need to play the game a lot. I’ve
found that for me, Playboy worked best, so if you’re going to follow this
walkthrough, you should pick that type of personality when asked to.
July 1: Schedule – College/Break/Break
In front of college, you’ll meet Mikae. When she asks what you think about her,
it doesn’t matter what you answer. You see, this girl already loves you with all
her heart, so you don’t really have to make an effort to be nice to her all the
time.
When Kuzuhiko asks you for 3000 Yen, you’ll end up lending him the money, no
matter what you say.
When Chiemi shows up and asks what you were doing, tell the truth and say you
were peeking on the girls. She’ll be impressed with your honesty.
July 2, 3, 4 and 5: Schedule – College/Break/Break
Sure, some stuff happens during these days (like exams), but there are no
important choices to be made and no places to go, so just slack off these days
by
taking a break at every opportunity. At the end of July 5, you should be visited
by the God of Pleasure, who will be very pleased to see you haven’t been doing
jack all these days. He’ll give you a massive boost of 40 to all your abilities,
including Passion, and remove all your fatigue. Although I doubt you’ll be tired
after doing nothing for so many days...
July 6: Schedule – Fashion/Work/Fashion
At some point during this day you should run into Mayumi again, in the same way
as you ran into her at July 2. (i.e. bumping in to eachother and you ending up
staring at her knickers ;)
Of course, she’ll get her knickers in a twist again (pun intended, duh ;) and
run
off, but it’s important to meet her at this point nonetheless. If she didn’t
show
up today... well, I hope you took my advise and saved the game, so you can load
it and try again. The same goes for all other events which I say should happen
on
a particular day, so I won’t mention it again.
July 7: Schedule – College/Fashion/Fashion
Your exam results will be posted up, and remarkably enough you should notice
that
(thanks to the God of Pleasure raising your scholarship probably) you didn’t do
all that bad. Okay, so it’s not very good either... Anyway, your teacher Miss
Yumi will show up and ask if it’s her fault your grades suck. Say that it’s your
own fault. She’ll then give you some counseling which should raise your
scholarship level a little, and (though not intended by Miss Yumi, I’m sure)
your
Passion will also go up, hehe.
July 8: Schedule – College/Fashion/Fashion
Thanks to the boost given to you by the God of Pleasure, your artwork should now
be sufficiently impressive to draw Miyuki’s attention. (yep, that was another
pun
right there! ;)
If you don’t see Miyuki at any point during this day, load the game. You did
save
regularly, didn’t you? Oh, oops, that’s right, I wasn’t going to mention that
anymore.
July 9: Schedule – College/Fashion/Fashion
When you meet Mikae again, choose to go home together with her. It’s not a
necessary thing to do, but it doesn’t interfere with any of the other
relationships you’re trying to build up, so you might as well.
July 10: Schedule – College/Fashion/Fashion
At the end of this day, the God of Beauty should raise your Appearance by 30 and
remove all your fatigue.
July 11: Schedule – College/Sports/Sports
When you finally get a chance to talk to Remi, it doesn’t matter what you say to
her, the end result will be the same.
July 12: Schedule – College/Sports/Sports
Nothing much going on today, just go with the flow.
July 13: Schedule – Sports/Sports/Sports
You should meet Chiemi in the park today, in her school uniform. When asked, say
that the uniform doesn’t suit her.
July 14: Schedule – College/Sports/Sports
Chiemi should talk to you again at school today, making a remark about how buff
you’re getting lately. Not surprising, since you’ve been concentrating on Sports
these past few days.
Later, you’ll be caught outside without an umbrella! Oh no! (I don’t see a
problem with that myself actually... can’t believe this guy’s afraid of a little
rain. Oh well.)
Mikae will come to the rescue with an umbrella. However, you shouldn’t go with
her. After she leaves, Mayumi will show up and you walk with her instead. Mikae
won’t like it, but like I said before, she already loves you so much it won’t
matter in the end. And since you still have to win Mayumi over, this is the best
solution.
July 15: Schedule – College/Sports/Sports
At the end of this day, the God of Strength should pay you a visit and give you
an increase of 20 to your Physical Strength, and remove all your fatigue.
July 16: Schedule – College/Study/Study
You should meet Chiemi again, who asks if she can walk home with you. Naturally,
you should accept.
July 17: Schedule – College/Pleasure/Study
At school, Mikae and Mayumi will be arguing. You never find out what it was
about, but it seems pretty obvious to me.
While in town, you should run into Mayumi again. You’ll agree to have lunch
together. You should have just enough money, so offer to treat her. She’ll have
a
voucher so you can eat for free, but the offer just might affect her reaction in
the end. When she asks if you think she should be all prim and proper, say you
don’t think so.
July 18: Schedule – College/Study/Pleasure
At night, you should meet the attractive woman you saw in the park before.
You’ll
learn that her name in Misako. Say that’s a nice name. When she leaves, Miss
Yumi
will also show up and speak to you.
July 19: Schedule – College/Study/Study
Nothing special today.
July 20: Schedule – Study/Study/Study
Again, nothing special.
July 21: Schedule – College/Study/Art
You’ll see Remi again today. Don’t hesitate to accept when she asks if you want
to walk home together.
The God of Education should raise your Scholarship by 20 and remove all your
fatigue at the end of this day.

Another slow day...
July 23: Schedule – College/Sports/Pleasure
This may take some trying (read: saving/loading), but you should meet Misako
again at night. She’ll invite you into a bar and say her boyfriend dumped her.
Say you can’t believe he dumped her. You’ll get drunk and she’ll take you to a
love hotel, where you’ll have an H-scene with Misako. Afterwards, say you don’t
regret it.
July 24: Schedule – College/Sports/Study
Nothing much going on today.
July 25: Schedule – Sports/Study/Study
Again, a pretty quiet day.
July 26: Schedule – Sports/Art/Shopping
Today, before you get to set up the schedule, you’ll wake up to find your father
standing beside your bed. You won’t be overly pleased with him, but I’m sure
you’ll like the 10000 Yen he gives you! After another brief meeting with Mikae,
you can set the schedule as noted above.
When shopping, go to the shop in the back streets and buy the Wings of an Angel
and a Rabbit Pendant. If the fortune teller shows up, don’t waste your money by
having your fortune told. After all, you’ll get all the advice you need right
here in this walkthrough.
July 27:
Today is a swimming contest in which you’ll participate, so the schedule doesn’t
apply for today. At the beach, when you see Chiemi, tell her she has a great
body. If Miyuki noticed your artwork before (she should have if you followed the
walkthrough to the letter), she’ll also be on the beach.
In the sea, when you think you hear someone, you’ll end up looking for the
source
of the sounds no matter what option you choose. To revive Arisa, massage her
chest 4 times and give her mouth-to-mouth 4 times.
July 28: Schedule – Sports/Fashion/Study
You should see Arisa again on the beach.
July 29: Schedule – Art/Art/Pleasure
Miyuki will notice you working on your artistic skills. When she asks if she
made
a burden of herself when she collapsed at the beach, say of course not.
Also, at night, you should see Mayumi at the clothes shop.
That’s two random events at one day, so it may take some saving/loading in order
to get both to happen.
July 30: Schedule – Sports/Art/Fashion
Not much to say about this day.
July 31: Schedule – Sports/Sports/Fashion
You’ll meet Chiemi while jogging. When she says she’s already jogged for 10 km,
say you’re impressed.
August 1: Schedule – Sports/Pleasure/Fashion
The first day of the month is a busy one. And one which may take some time. Be
sure to save before starting today’s activities, ‘cause there are no less than
three random events which should take place today. If any of the three following
events does not take place, load the game and try again. It’s important that
your
Passion is at 99 at this point, but I doubt you’ll have any problems in that
area.
First, you should meet Chiemi again in the park. Tell her she’s feminine.
Second, you should find an envelope from the God of Luck containing 10000 Yen,
and meet Arisa right after. Choose to hang out with her for a while. When she
asks, say you don’t have a girlfriend yet. You should also walk home with her.
And third, in the evening you should find a kitten seeking shelter from the
rain.
Take pity on the kitty (oh, that sounds nice ;) and take it home with you.
August 2: Schedule – Study/Study/Study
Miss Yumi should come to your house today. Say she’s working hard, and that
you’ve been studying.
August 3: Schedule – Art/Sports/Study
You should have your first encounter with a bearded man, and meet a
mysterious “special guest”, Akane, who will “take away all your worries and
pains”, bringing your fatigue back down to 0.
Also, either today or tomorrow, you should seet Mikae at some point. Say you
forgive her for her reaction at the beach.
August 4: Schedule – Study/Sports/Study
If you saw Mikae already the previous day, there won’t be much happening this
day.
August 5: Schedule – Art/Art/Art
The God of Art should come by, raising your art by 30 and bringing your fatigue
down to 0.
August 6: Schedule – Work/Work/Shopping
Note that by now, your stats should be either around 120 (Scholarship and Art)
or
way past that number (Physical Strength and Appearance).
You may see Remi’s father and/or Toshio while working, but that’s not important.
Besides, you only care about the girls anyway, right? ;)
When you go shopping, buy an Accessory and some Flowers. It speaks for itself
that, if given the option, you shouldn’t waste your money on the Fortune Teller.
August 7: Schedule – Sports/Sports/Study
Your Physical Strength should be close to being maxed out now.
August 8: Schedule – Fashion/Fashion/Study
Nothing much to talk about...
August 9: Schedule – Sports/Fashion/Study
Before you can choose your schedule, Kazuhiko will come by to lend you the video
game he bought. He’ll also give you back the 3000 Yen he borrowed from you. Now
save the game, and load it right away. Kazuhiko will come by again and give you
another 3000 Yen! Repeat this a couple of times so you’ll have enough money for
the rest of the game without having to work for it. About 20000 Yen should be
enough.
August 10: Schedule – Study/Study/Fashion
Arisa will come to your house to play the video game. When you notice her
crying,
say she looks better with a smile.
Later that night, you’re just feeding the kitten when suddenly... she turns into
a half-cat,
half-woman. The woman, called Anze, claims to be an angel, and that she’s
looking
for a particular artifact. Say “Could this be it?” and you’ll return the Wings
of
an Angel to her. She says she needs more love to change back to her original
form... well, you can guess what happens next. Afterwards, she’ll wipe your
memory of the event. (This will only happen if your passion level is high
enough,
but it should have been at its maximum quite some time ago if you followed this
walkthrough)
August 11: Schedule – Art/Art/Study
Also, you should see Remi again today. When she asks about it, give the rabbit
pendant to her, and make a date for Sunday.
August 12: Schedule – Pleasure/Art/Art
While in town, you should notice a crowd, among which Kazuhiko and the bearded
man you saw earlier. When the bearded man asks what you think about Sonoko, say
you like her.
August 13: Schedule – Sports/Study/Pleasure
Meet Yumi in town, say you came to see her.
August 14: Schedule – Study/Study/Study
All work and no play makes for a very boring day.
August 15: Schedule – Promise(you promised to call Mikae)/Sports/Art
The movie Mikae wants to see is called ‘At the End of Youth and Love’.
You don’t have any important choices to make during the date, so just sit back
and enjoy it.
August 16: Schedule – Art/Sports/Study
At the beach, Kazuhiko will actually be coming on to you! When Chiemi shows up,
say you were not at all excited by it.
August 17: Schedule – Promise(date with Remi)/Sports/Art
When Remi’s late, say you’ve only just arrived too. When you finish the lunch
she
made, say it was delicious. (Okay, it seems obvious... I mean you don’t tell a
girl who made lunch for you that it sucked, even if it did... but I guess I
gotta
mention these things anyway, just for the sake of making this a complete
walkthrough. Oh dear, I started rambling again. Sorry about that.) When she asks
where you want to go next time, it doesn’t matter what you say. (You’ll make an
ass of yourself no matter what you choose.;)
You should also meet Chiemi again. Say that she’s very attractive.
August 18: Schedule – Art/Art/Art
In the park, you’ll meet Miyuki. When she asks if your offer to model for her
still stands say you don’t tell lies. You’ll agree to meet at her place next
Sunday.
August 19: Schedule – Sports/Sports/Study
At the beach, you’ll have a swimming competition with Chiemi. When you reach the
island, say that you love her, and you’ll have an H-scene with her. Of course,
you say that you don’t regret it. (Why do the women in this game keep asking
that? Do they actually expect you to say yes?)
August 20: Schedule – Art/Art/Study
It’s the familiar slow day again...
August 21: Schedule – Study/Study/Study
Before you can set up today’s schedule, Kazuhiko will come by to pick uo his
video game and to tell you he feels he can trust you with Arisa.
Later you should see Mikae talking with Toshio.
August 22: Schedule – Fashion/Study/Study
Around this day, your Physical Strength, Appearance, Scholarship and Art should
be around 150, and your Passion (still) at 99. Now you can be sure that every
random event which requires one or more of your stats to be at a certain level
will take place.
You should see Mayumi near the clothes shop today, and in her surprise she’ll
drop a bag with her underwear in it, which you pick up. You’ll also spot
Mikasaki
in the area.
August 23: Schedule – Study/Pleasure/Pleasure
You should see Mikasaki at the Clothes Shop again.
August 24: Schedule – Promise(date with Miyuki)/Art/Study
At the date, you’ll end up doing nothing but buy swimwear.
August 25: Schedule – Sports/Study/Art
Before you can decide on today’s schedule, you’ll see Miyuki again. You’ll
decide
to have another date next Sunday. Say it would be most convenient during the
day.
August 26:
Today you won’t need to make a schedule: You’ll only have to do an ability exam.
If everything went well, you should be no. 13. When Toshio wants to take Mikae
home, stop them and take Mikae home yourself.
August 27: Schedule – Pleasure/Sports/Study
At the Train Station, you should meet Arisa when it starts to rain. You’ll take
her to your place to dry her clothes. When you catch her reading the adult
magazine, choose to hold her and an H-scene will follow. Choose ‘I can hold it’
for an additional scene.
August 28: Schedule – Sports/Art/Fashion
Prepare for another slow day...
August 29: Schedule – Fashion/Study/Art
...and another...
August 30: Schedule – Sports/Art/Study
...and yet another!
August 31: Schedule – Promise(date with Miyuki)/Sports/Fashion
When Miyuki shows up for the date, and asks what’s in the closet, say Miyuki’s
Photo’s. Eventually the events will lead to an H-scene with Miyuki. Say you
don’t
regret it afterwards... el duh.
Later, Mayumi will swing by. When she says she never sold any of her clothes,
say
you believe her. When she asks if she can have her underwear, give them back.
It
doesn’t seem to matter much whether you say yes or no when she asks if you
looked
at them. You’ll also set a date for a date with her. (hmmm, that last sentence
sounded kinda wierd...)
September 1: Schedule – College/Study/Art
Other than the fact that school starts again, and you’ll meet Ryoko for the
first
time, nothing much happens today.
September 2: Schedule – College/Sports/Study
You will find out Mikisuki has tied up Mayumi in the counseling room. When Miss
Yumi comes along, ask her to open the door.
September 3: Schedule – College/Fashion/Art
When you see Ryoko, agree to be her friend, and say you love girls with glasses.
Also, Kazuhiko will tell you to go meet the new nurse, who turns out to be
Misako.
Miss Yumi will inform you Mikisuki is leaving college.
September 4: Schedule – College/Sports/Study
When Remi asks you to help with the festival preparations, agree to help. A
crate
will fall on your foot, and you’ll end up in the nurse’s office, alone with
Misako. When asked if you’ve become a great guy, say you’re used to it. Say that
you’re not seeing anyone. Then choose to woo her and you’ll have another H-scene
with Misako.
September 5: Schedule – College/Art/Fashion
Well, can’t have a party every day...
September 6: Schedule – College/Sports/Study
At the school festival, you should win the game at the PC club, but don’t worry
if you don’t. By now, you shouldn’t need the +10 bonus to all stats you get at
the end of the day if you do anymore.
When Kameo asks you if Mikae is your girlfriend say that’s right. (or not, it
doesn’t seem to matter in the end)
September 7: Schedule – Fashion/Promise(date with Mayumi)/Art
At the date, pay for both you and Mayumi. Say you feel like you’re lovers. Agree
to go to a love hotel with her. After the H-scene, of course say that it was
great.
September 8: Schedule – College/Study/Sports
This is another day which may take some saving/loading, since there are multiple
random events which should take place today.
At school, you should see Mayumi, and Miss Yuki after that.
Now Kazuhiko should show up and show you the Sonoko album again. You’ll
recognise
her as Ryoko.
Finally, in the evening you should bump into Ryoko at the bus stop.
September 9: Schedule – College/Sports/Art
You should run into Ryoko and Mikae at school. When Mikae asks if you want to go
home with her say no and listen to Ryoko’s story instead. When she asks if you’d
change your attitude towards her if she were Sonoko say you won’t change. When
she asks what you think of her say you like her.
September 10: Schedule – College/Art/Study
You may meet Mikae in the park today. Whether or not you do won’t impact
anything, though.
September 11: Schedule – College/Sports/Study
No important events today...
September 12: Schedule – College/Fashion/Art
...or today for that matter.
September 13: Schedule – College/Sports/Pleasure
You should meet Miss Yuki in town today. She’s been drinking, but she still has
enough strength to save you from a drunk. When she brings you to her house and
says she thinks she wasn’t very teacher-like say you don’t think so. Choose to
hug her when give the option. At first she’ll push you away, but eventually
things will lead to an H-scene with her. Say it was great afterwards.
September 14: Schedule – Fashion/Art/Study
Nothing much to worry about today...
September 15: Schedule – Fashion/Study/Sports
...nor today.
September 16: Schedule – College/Art/Sports
Make a date with Mikae. Her birthday’s on the 28th of September.
September 17: Schedule – College/Fashion/Study
Meet the bearded man again in the park.
At school, you’ll run into Ryoko. When asked if you were offended the other day,
say that’s okay.
September 18: Schedule – College/Art/Sports
You should see the bearded man and Ryoko talking in the park. When Ryoko
approaches you, don’t kiss her; take her home instead.
September 19: Schedule – College/Sports/Art
You’ll notice Ryoko isn’t at school today.
September 20: Schedule – College/Fashion/Sports
No important decisions to be made this day.
September 21: Schedule – Study/Art/Sports
At night, you should see Ryoko standing outside your house. Tell her you love
her, and ask het to come to your room. This will lead to an H-scene.
September 22: Schedule – College/Sports/Study
Much to everyone’s surprise, you should notice that your results of the exams
were better than anyone else. When Mikae asks if you remember when the date is,
say it’s the 28th. (it speaks for itself really... the only other option is the
21th, which was yesterday! Shame on you if ever made that mistake.;)
When Remi asks you what you think of her say you love her. (it doesn’t seem to
matter if you say you want to have sex instead, but it’s more polite this way,
don’t you agree? ;) You won’t be able to refuse her offer to have a date. Set
the
date for the 27th. (If you choose the 28th, there will be an embarrassing event
since Mikae will also come over that day... doh!)
September 23: Schedule – Study/Art/Fashion
A day for relaxation and recreation as nothing requires your intervention.
September 24: Schedule – College/Break/Sports
Save before today’s activities. If by this day you have not seen Ryoko at school
yet, you should see her today. If you don’t, you’d do best to load the game
until
you do.
September 25: Schedule – College/Fashion/Art
What a completely boring day...
September 26: Schedule – College/Study/Sports
...and this is another.
September 27: Schedule – College/Fashion/Promise(date with Remi)
When you show up for the date, you’ll see Kameo and Toshio instead, who will
tell
you Remi’s been kidnapped. Those two won’t be much help to you, so it’s up to
you
to save Remi. When choosing in which direction you will go, take the left road.
Risking your life (well, sort of), you’ll save Remi. When she asks, choose to
make love to her and there will be an
H-scene. Say it was very good afterwards.
September 28: Schedule – Fashion/Promise/Art
When Mikae shows up for the date, give her the Accessory for her birthday. Now,
you can say that you love her and all, but when she asks if Remi is just a
friend, you’ll have a problem. If you had the date with Remi, she’ll think you
made love to her (even if you didn’t!) and leave (even if you denied it). So
Mikae will be out of your reach.
Like I said before starting the walkthrough: To get Mikae you’ll have to do
another game. Follow the walkthrough again, but this time just never study. Remi
won’t ask you out on a date, and you’ll be able to tell Mikae Remi’s just a
friend. Then you’ll have an H-scene with Mikae instead. Be sure to tell her it
was great afterwards.
September 29: Schedule - College/Sports/Study
A slow day, just before a very important day... the calm before the storm, if
you
will.
September 30:
When you’re about to plan today’s activities, you’ll be asked if you want to
save
the game. Do so. Try planning today’s activities again, and you’ll think about
how much you’d like a steady girlfriend. While you’re thinking, Kazuhiko will
call you and meet you outside your place. He’ll confess he’s actually in love
with you. If you say you love him too that’s the end of the game, since you’re
obviously not really interested in any of the girls then. So tell him you’d
rather just be friends instead.
After that, you can decide who you want to be your girlfriend. If you followed
this walkthrough, you should be able to pick anyone (but, like I said, except
Mikae) to see her ending.
And that’s it! You have successfully completed True Love! Hope you enjoyed the
