Hint for KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child
Secrets Guide - Full Version
Water Realm
Bad Streets Part 1 -- 2 Secrets
1) After going upstairs to grab the Thrornblade, take a look over by one of the
ceiling fans. You'll see some wires you can jump on to get a Blood Rose.
2) After going up the spiral staircase, you'll find a door blocked by crates
with
a fuse box nearby. Shoot the fuse box to open up the door. Inside this room
you'll find a Hawk Eyes, but that's not the secret. To find the secret look
down.
There are two floors beneath you. Jump down to the middle one, hop on the wires,
and follow them to the right for some Black Diamonds.
Bad Streets Part 2 -- 1 Secret
1) After watching the cutscene introducing the Aranchnoclown, you'll enter an
area with a water tower. Jump in the water to the right of the tower and climb
the ladder on the other side to find a ledge with a Hawk Eyes and a Pamphlets.
Pain Plaza Part 1 -- 1 Secret
1) When you finally come to the staircase leading up to the EXIT, slip under the
steps to grab some Black Diamonds.
Pain Plaza Part 2 -- 2 Secrets
1) In the building where you grab the first key, you'll see a staircase leading
down to the basement. The door is stuck, but if you look at the stairs you just
came down, you'll see they look a little weak. Smash them and enter the basement
that way. You'll find a Blood Rose, Jack-In-The-Box, and some ammo.
2) When you finally make your way across the bookcase to the Armor, DON'T grab
it. Instead go to the edge of the shelf and look down. Jump down to the book you
see sticking out to snag the secret, some health and a pamphlet.
Pain Plaza Part 3 -- 5 Secrets
1) In the area with the two BladeMasters attacking you from elevated platforms,
climb the ladder on the far side and use the ledge with the Black Diamonds on it
to get to the area where one of the BladeMasters was attacking you. Here you'll
find a Jack-In-The-Box and some Black Diamonds.
2) When you get to the warehouse with the MASSIVE horde attack, turn around and
go back down the hall. You'll see a BladeMaster on a ledge with some goodies.
Jump across to it to get the Jack-In-The-Box and the Blood Rose.
3-5) On the staircase on the way up to the exit mirror you'll see three niches
under the staircase. Jump in each to grab the secrets. Contains a pamphlet,
Jack-
In-The-Box, and Blood Rose respectively.
Cathedral Part 1 -- 3 Secrets
1) After getting the key and finally gaining access to the Cathedral, shoot the
door to your left to get a Rage Orb.
2) As you climb up a ladder, you'll see three sets of wooden beams on your
right.
The middle ones lead to the secret, but it's not open yet. Continue up the
ladder
and move into the next room until you see the Gasbags attack you. Now head back
and the wall will be open. Jump down to it and snag the Blood Rose.
3) After the Fat Lady makes her first appearance, look up and to your right.
There's a hook up there which will allow you to get up to the ledge and grab the
Angel Charm.
Cathedral Part 2 -- 3 Secrets
1) After killing the Strutters, retrace your steps. A wall will be open near the
pamphlet you picked up earlier containing a Rage Orb.
2) In the room with Stargaze, make your way toward it. After climbing two
ladders, you'll find yourself on a ledge overlooking the switch the cutscene
showed you. Look at the wall to your right and you'll see that it's cracked. Hit
it with a weapon and hope down to grab some ammo.
3) After the water rises allowing you to get to the EXIT, take a walk keeping
your eyes upward. You'll find a branch that you can grapple to allowing you
access to the rafters above with a Blood Rose and a Chaos Heart.
Cathedral Part 3 -- 3 Secrets
1) Just after starting the level, you'll go through a door, the water level will
rise. Turn back around and you'll find a Rage Orb in one of the corners.
2) After defeating the BladeMaster, a door will open leading to a short hallway.
Look up and you'll see two wooden rafters and a hook. Grapple up to it and hop
on
the rafter to get the Blood Rose.
3) While in Secret #2 look at the walls around you closely. One of them is a
slightly different color. Make note of it then jump down and continue on your
way. After killing the Fat Lady that breaks the ladder in the next area, make
your way back to secret #2 and grapple up to the rafters again. You'll be able
to
jump into a niche containing an Angel Charm. Warning: The water level will start
rising up after a minute or two and its touch is lethal.
Freak Show Part 1 -- 6 Secrets
1) Near the start, hop into the ticket booth for a Blood Rose.
2) Just a little beyond the first secret, you'll see three awning spawning
Stumps. Walk under the 3rd one and look up. Shoot the beams above you to open up
a niche containing an Angel Charm.
3) Walk a few more steps from secret #2 and you'll come to a purple tent with
green stars on it. Inside is a wild looking box. Look up and grapple to the hook
to get inside for a Choas Heart.
4) Across from the tent with the clown mouth entrance is a red stage. Look over
on the right side (facing it from the clown tent) and you'll see a small space
in
between the tent and the stage. Slip in to grab the Blood Rose.
5) After gaining entrance to the Circus Tent, you'll encounter various baddies
in
cages. After defeating the UniPsycho, you'll find a few Stumps in an "L" shaped
cage. Slip through the bars and look for a wooden board in one of the corners.
Smash it and grab the Chaos Heart inside.
6) In the final room, once you've gained access to the Exit Mirror, take a look
under the ramp leading up to it. There's a monkey on a tricycle down here. Go up
to it, press the "use" key, and it'll give you a Blood Rose.
Freak Show Part 2 -- 3 Secrets
1) After grabbing the mask, continue on down the ledge, while rubbing against
the
tent. There's a fake wall here which will drop you down to a health and a Rage
Orb.
2) After flicking the switch which raises the water level, hop down into the
water and go through the door which opened in the cutscene. Head over to the
ladder leading back up to the wooden bridge. Underneath the water, near the
ladder is a niche containing some ammo.
3) In the room with the Exit Mirror there's a wooden texture with two boards in
a "X" pattern. Walk up to the wood, and while walking toward it, smash the
boards. You'll be teleported over to an Angel Charm on the other side of the
room.
Earth Realm
Earth Rift Part 1 (5 Secrets)
1) After getting the claws, break through the wooden boards in the starting
area.
At the bottom of the ramp will be a room with a flaming barrel. Hop on top of
the
barrel, then hop up on the ledge for some ammo.
2) After getting the Scourge (whip), drop down and go outside the structure.
Look
up and search for a branch you can grapple to. Up here, you'll find the
Windblade
and some Black Diamonds.
3) Go to the entrance of the Coventry and to the left (while facing the
building)
is a hook. Grapple up to get the ammo and health on top of the boxes.
4) Okay, this one is tough, so tough I've never been able to do it with a little
cheating (such as, getting the boots through a console command). When you go to
get the key in the starting room, grapple up to the ledge and turn around. In
front of you and to your left is a hole broken in the roof that you can jump
through. Now, here's the tricky part, jumping through the hole. Try as I have,
I've never quite done it (except with that boot cheat), but once through it
you'll find yourself on an overhang on the roof (don't worry, you won't slide
off). Walk around the corner of the roof and get some Black Diamonds. If you'd
like a Blood Rose, position yourself on the very corner of the roof and point in
the direction of the raised platform down below. Run
down the roof and with a well-timed jump, you'll be able to get the Blood Rose
down there--you'll take about 20 points in damage jumping down though.
If anybody finds an easier way to this, please e-mail me at baytor@yahoo.com
5) After going through the locked gate, you'll be find yourself on a brick road.
When you come to the wall which crumbles after an earthquake, turn around. Over
toward your right is a short fence you can jump over to get some Jack-In-The-
Boxes and Black Diamonds.
Earth Rift Part 2 (No Secrets)
Move along, nothing to see here.
Earth Rift Part 3 (1 Secret)
1) After opening the second tunnel, you'll grapple up into a building. Before
going up the stairs, peak around the corner and grab the Blood Rose hiding
there.
Morbid Manor Part 1 (3 Secrets)
1) When you come to the wall with the broken section (just before confronting
the
UniPsycho), you'll see a path leading up to a Spawner. Follow the path up to a
ledge and walk as far as you can, then turn around. Before you is a tower, but
if
you look closely at the wall you'll see a few bricks missing. Blast it with any
weapon to reveal some ammo and an Angel Charm--it'll
come in handy when dealing with the UniPsycho.
2) On the bridge where you confront the Arachnoclown, you'll see a building over
your right (this is where the baluster was at the beginning of the level). Take
a
good running jump to get on this ledge, then follow it around to a pamphlet.
Note: before jumping down on the bridge, follow the narrow ledge around to a
Blood Rose--not a secret, but certainly worth finding.
3) After getting inside the building, you'll find yourself in a warehouse with a
key. To get to the secret, simply climb the ladder all the way to the top of the
building and hop into the rafters. Simply work your way across to the Jack In
The
Boxes on the far side.
Non-Secret) Just above the cool car the BallBuster destroys is a hook usable
with
your trusty Scourge. Zip up and grab Blood Rose on the rafter.
Morbid Manor Part 2 (5 Secrets)
1) In the room with the three fireplaces, walk into the unlit one and grapple to
the hook at the top for a Blood Rose.
2) When you enter the vents, head to your right and drop down to a position near
the beginning of the map. Head to the kitchen, and you'll find a cabinet open
revealing a Rage Orb.
3) Head back to the vents and find your way through them to an area with a
ladder. Just before the ladder is another spot where you can drop back down into
the manor. Do so, and make your way back to the kitchen where another cabinet
will be open revealing a Blood Rose. The third cabinet opens naturally.
4) Again, head back to the vents and make your way all the way through them.
Before opening the painting and jumping out, take a close look at the wall near
where you came out of the vent. Smash those bricks to get a Blood Rose.
5) Throughout the level are three Purple Demon Heads (two on either side of the
entrance to the vent, one in the room after you exit the vents). Shoot them all
and when you face down the Arachnoclown in the EXIT room, there'll be a painting
opened on the wall revealing a Spiritlance.
Morbid Manor Part 3 (3 Secrets)
1) On the other side of the trophy room is a hallway with a Spawner and a key at
the end. In order to get this secret, don't take out the Spawner right away.
Instead, kill the Stumps it spawns until you hear a chime (you can now destroy
the
Spawner). Head back to the trophy case with the Chaos Heart in it and you'll
notice a painting has opened revealing a Blood Rose. Special thanks to Hurricane
for this one. e-mail address tri_surf@hotmail.com
2) After getting the Armor, you'll come to a room filled with vents and a
switch.
Just to the left of the switch is a ramp which lets you get a Hawk Eyes on a
ledge.
3) In the room with all the crates and the UniPsychos shooting at you from the
rafters, look around for a breakable crate (note: there's an Angel Charm hidden
between some boxes very close to it). Use the smaller box inside to hop up to
the
rafters for some Health and a Blood Rose.
Unholy Ground Part 1 (3 Secrets)
1) Just past the starting point is a grave for the unholiest of all man's evils,
Disco. Desecrate the headstone and a mausoleum will open containing a Chaos
Heart.
2) Just before going through a gate, a BallBuster will break through a mausoleum
door. Go in there and jump in the mural for a Blood Rose.
3) Go through the gate and look up. Grapple up to the branch and grab the Rage
Orb you see up there.
Unholy Ground Part 2 (3 Secrets)
1) In the room where you fight the Arachnoclown there's a tomb you can "use." A
wall will open revealing an Angel Charm.
2) After the cutscene plays showing all the breaking rocks, make your way to the
area shown in it with the two grappling branches. Below you is a quicksand pit,
and a wooden ledge perilously placed near the bottom. Hop down to the ledge and
smash through the differently colored rock. Move toward the rock and once the
ledge breaks from your weight, you'll slip into the secret passage where you'll
find a Chaos Heart and a Blood Rose.
3) Near the end of the level are two sets of mashers. After going through the
door after the second set, retrace your steps a bit and you'll find a wall has
opened up in between the mashers containing a Blood Rose.
Unholy Ground Part 3 (3 Secrets)
1) In the first mausoleum is a tomb you can "use." Do so and a wall across from
the mausoleum will open up leading to a Blood Rose.
2) In the mausoleum with the two vials of health, look up. You can grapple up to
a ledge with a Rage Orb.
3) In the courtyard with the organ, search the tomb on the lower level. There's
a
grave you can "use," which opens up a section of wall with some Health and a
Chaos Heart.
Beast Pens Part 1 (3 Secrets)
1) Just before jumping on top of the Tickler's cage, jump on the "Hideous Demon
Creature" sign to your right, then up onto a ledge with a Chaos Heart.
2) Just past the fence with the "No Admittance" sign, go into the Beast Pen to
your right. There's a wooden panel up above that you can shoot. Use the boxes to
get up on the cage's fence and hop up into it for some ammo.
3) In the same area, hop back up on the fence. To get to the third secret will
require quite a bit of ledge walking, so head out over to the red tents over to
your right (if facing the entrance to Secret #2). Above where you acquired the
key from the Arachnoclown will be a Blood Rose.
Beast Pens Part 2 (3 Secrets)
1) In the tent past the See-Saw are some explosive barrels on some crates. Shoot
them and the boxes up top will smash. Hop up there for some ammo.
2) In the Meanie Beanie room, take a look up at the top of the tent behind the
hammer. There's a hook you can grapple to which will yield you an Angel Charm.
3) Also in the Meanie Beanie room. This one seems to appear after killing a
certain amount of enemies, and it appears in the cage to the right of the
entrance (when coming into this area). What I did to get it to appear was to
push
all the correct buttons, except for the final one with the Blood Rose on it. I'd
step on an incorrect button to reset the cages, and I'd repeat this until the
Rage Orb appears in the cage. Special thanks to xxzen for this one. e-mail

Air Realm secrets
Waste Wharf Part 1 (4 Secrets)
1) After making your way through both pipes, you'll be in a hall with some Black
Diamonds up on a ledge. Across from the Diamonds is a long grille with a few
items. To get to those items, you'll need to lob a Windblade grenade into the
far
corner (almost directly in front of you as you enter this area) to break a wall.
The entrance to the secret area is to the right of the EXIT door--just search
the
stacks of boxes to find the panel you broke open and you'll pick up some ammo
and
health.
2) In the chemical waste area, there's a very noticeable Rage Orb sitting on top
of a crate. To get it, you'll need to find the boots first. Once you have them,
you can use an explosive barrel to hop up to the Rage Orb.
3) Near the second secret are some boxes leading up to a fenced in area. If
you've got the boots, you can hop up into that fence and snag a Zero Cannon.
4) After you grab the key, take a close look at the brick wall across from it.
There are a few bricks sticking out of the wall, which you can use to hop up on
the roof to grab some ammo.

1) In the Bathroom, flush both toilets and the secret area will open up behind
you. Use the bricks sticking out of the wall to get up to the Ammo and Rage Orb.
Poison Plant Part 1 (Zero Secrets)
Ain't nothing here, although searching the various nooks and crannies will gain
you some goodies.
Poison Plant Part 2 (2 Secrets)
1) After turning off the first set of electrical beams, there are three doors,
one of which is jammed. To get into this room, find the vent in the left room
and
follow it around to this otherwise inaccessible room. You'll get some ammo and a
Jack In The Box.
2) In the area where you drain the two containers, there's a vent on top of the
stack of computers. Hop up and follow the vent to a bunch of goodies: Black
Diamonds, Jack In The Boxes, and some ammo.
Acropolis Part 1 (4 Secrets)

sign. Get under that sign and look over the ledge, there's a fire escape below

2) Also near the start is a billboard with an "S" on it. Climb onto it, then hop
on the ledge to get the Jack-In-The-Boxes behind the billboard.

that building and look down as you walk around it. Down below you is a ledge
with
a Blood Rose on it.
4) When you finally get to the ledge overlooking the EXIT door, go the opposite
way. Look over the ledge to find a Jack-In-The-Box on a fire escape.
Acropolis Part 2 (5 Secrets)
1) Above the start is a ledge with a Blood Rose on it. Use the grappling hook to
get up there.
2) After going through a narrow space between buildings, you'll see a Deuce
billboard over to your left. Don't go that way. Instead, follow the ledge to
your
left and look over the side for a fire escape with a Jack-In-The-Box on it.
3) Just past the hotel sign, you'll be ambushed by a Tickler. If you didn't
break
the bottom boxes in the fight, you'll be able to hop up to a ledge with a Rage
Orb.
4) Find the Deuce billboard with the UniPsycho patrolling under it. In the same
area is also a Cold Gin billboard, where the secret area lies. To get there,
climb up onto the Deuce billboard and grapple to the hook behind the Cold Gin
billboard. The Angel Charm makes it worth the trip.
Non-Secret) In the stairwell at Ozone Corp, look up. There's a grappling hook
which grant you access to a Blood Rose and some ammo.
5) Across from the EXIT, you'll see an overhead light fixture. Look above it and
you'll see a grappling hook inside of the niche above it. Grapple up to the
overhead light to get a Blood Rose.
Acropolis Part 3 (4 Secrets)
1) After pulling the first switch, look up. There's a grappling hook leading up
to a couple of goodies, including a Blood Rose.
2) Just before jumping down to a vent where two BladeMasters were, explore the
mass of vents behind you. There's a smashable vent with a ladder inside. Smash
the vent at the top of the ladder and hop down to some Black Diamonds. Before
you
is another smashable vent. The ladder inside this vent leads to a Blood Rose.
3) Past the Tickler spawn area is a narrow ledge leading to an Angel Charm.

were spawning: A Blood Rose and a Rage Orb.

first grey thing connecting the girders and look down to your right. You'll see
a
Rage Orb and a Pamphlet in the middle of some boxes. Jump down to get them.
Doom Forge Part 3 (Zero Secrets)
No secrets here, folks; just some crazy UniPsychos.
Molten Vein Part 1 (4 Secrets)
1) Shortly after the start, you'll be in a room with some boxes. There's a
breakable box along the right wall which hides a niche with a Blood Rose.
2) In the area where you're looking down on several pipes with Black Diamonds on
them, hop down to the ledge below and search behind the pipe for an Angel Heart.
Now, hop into the lava and to your right there will be a ladder leading up to a
Blood Rose.
3) After starting some machinery, you'll come to a room with lots of crates and
an ambushing BallBuster on a ledge. To get up to that ledge, you'll need to jump
up on the crates onto another ledge, then onto a pipe, then finally onto the
BallBuster ledge. For your trouble, you'll get a Rage Orb.
4) In the same area are some breakable crates which reveal a valve. Turn it and
in the next area, behind another valve will be an open niche containing a Blood
Rose.
Molten Vein Part 2 (4 Secrets)
1) Directly above the start is a hook. Grapple up and get the Blood Rose.
2) Before jumping to the platform with the ladder leading up to the Vest, take a
look around and you'll spot a hook right above the Draco (the Ultimate Weapon).
Grapple over, then go up the slope to your right go find the secret area with a
Rage Orb.
3) After grabbing the vest, a bunch of Headless will drop out of some pipes.
Walk
under the pipe they drop from and straight ahead will be a breakable wall

and you'll see an Angel Charm on the same pipe.
Molten Vein Part 3 (4 Secrets)
1) Near the beginning is a BallBuster up on a ledge. Climb the ladder to get to
the ledge directly under his position and jump onto a pipe leading to another
platform with a Blood Rose and a switch. Hitting this switch will temporarily
open a metal door near where you'll grapple up onto a pipe. The metal door
hides... nothing.
2) Near the room with the two big pistons is a ladder. About halfway up the
ladder on the opposite wall is a niche with a Chaos Heart.
3) Over-looking the two big pistons is a ledge where a BladeMaster was shooting
at you. There's some bricks knocked out of the wall up here, revealing a
differently colored bit. It's a fake wall and you can walk right through it to
get a Blood Rose.
4) Near where the Arachnoclown attacks you is a Fat Lady up on a ledge. Climb up
here and look down on the other side to spy a Hawk Eyes resting on a pipe. Jump
down and grab it for the secret.
Nether Station Part 1 (4 Secrets)
1) In the first area, you'll need to make a couple of whip jumps across some
lava
pools, then you'll walk up a variety of rafters and ledges. Just before you make
a jump across to a ledge taking you out of the area, look down. You'll see a
tiled area with a rusty silver door. Jump down and open it to get some ammo.
2) When you blow the hole in the side of the cavern using the explosive barrels,
you'll find a ledge leading down to a differently colored piece of rock. Smash
it
to get access to a Blood Rose and some ammo.
3) After grabbing the Armor, you'll be facing a machine sliding back and forth
into a furnace. If you make your way forward onto this machine and look up,
you'll see a small square of fire which lights up your cross hairs. Shoot it to
open a secret compartment containing an Angel Charm and a Rose. Note: it's
easier
and safer to shoot the square from the floor, the machine really hurts
sometimes.
4) Also after grabbing the Armor, you'll notice the furnace opening up behind
you. After making your way up the ladder on the far side, you'll have to jump
across a fiery chasm to a ladder. Climb it up to the top and when you kill the
Fat Lady, you'll notice the door next to her open. DO NOT go through it yet.
Instead, return to the ladder and look down. You'll see a secret ledge has been
revealed containing a Rage Orb, some ammo, and some health.
Nether Station Part 2 (3 Secrets)
1) Directly in front of your starting position is a ticket counter. Open it to
grab a Hawk Eyes.
2) In Carr Station, smash the subway map to get a Blood Rose and a Rage Orb.

about it and you won't get too hurt getting them.
Gloomvale Part 1 (5 Secrets)
1) As the level starts, look up and you'll spot a hook just around the corner to
your right. Grapple up and jump to a narrow ledge, which will lead to the secret
area with some Jack-In-The-Boxes and Ammo.
2) Also near the starting area, you'll fight some BladeMasters in the courtyard.
Look up near the lavafall and you'll spot a grappling hook. Zip up and grab some
health and ammo.
3) After opening the bars, enter the room with all the stumps. Look up near the
steaming pipe for another grappling hook. Grapple up to snag some Ammo.
4) After passing through the clown's mouth, you'll get attacked by several
monsters. Kill them all then face the demon head with the tongue. To its left is
a hook, zip up and drop down on the other side of the fence to grab an Angel
Charm and some Health.
5) Near the area where you throw the switch giving you access to the ticket is a
small room with a Meanie Beanie and a Strongman in it. Kill them and drop down
in
the hole below the Angel Charm. Pull the lever down there, grapple back up, then
head back to the courtyard you were in at the beginning of the level. Here,
you'll see a niche (some monsters came out of it way back when) with a
destructible panel inside. Smash it to reveal a door. Open it to get a Blood
Rose
and some Ammo.
Nightmare Realm Part 1 (4 Secrets)

quicksand in it. Look down into the pit and you'll see a ledge down there. Hop

stone. It's a disguised ladder, which you can climb to get some health and ammo.

vines, you'll see a ledge you can hop to. Do so, then look around. There's a
niche above you with a Chaos Heart.
4) When you first enter the Air Section of the map, don't head to the platform
with the buttons right away. Instead, use the ledges to hop to your right, where
you'll find a niche with a Blood Rose.

wires that you can jump on. Hop on and grab The Rose for a quick infusion of hit
points.
2) After going up the Spiral Staircase, you'll find a door blocked by two crates
and a fuse box nearby. Shoot the fuse box to open the door. In here, you'll find
a Hawk Eyes, but that's not the secret. Look down. All the way down, you'll see
the entrance to the club, but between you and the entrance is another floor. Hop
down to it and you'll be able to hop on top some power cords. Simply follow them
to the right to the secret and a few Black Diamonds.
Part 2--1 Secret
1) After viewing the cutscene showing the laughing Aracnoclown, you'll be in an
area with a water tower over to your left. Jump into the water and on the other

you'll
find a Hawk Eyes and a Pamphlet.
Earth World -- 3 Secrets
1) When you come to the wall with the broken section (just before confronting
the
UniPsycho), you'll see a path leading up to a Spawner. Follow the path up to a
ledge and walk as far as you can, then turn around. Before you is a tower, but
if
you look closely at the wall you'll see a few bricks missing. Blast it with any
weapon to reveal some ammo and an Invulnerability Talisman--it'll come in handy
on the UniPsycho.

your right (this is where the baluster was at the beginning of the level). Take
a
good running jump to get on this ledge, then follow it around to The Rose.
3) After getting inside the building, you'll find yourself in a warehouse with a
key. To get to the secret, simply climb the ladder all the way to the top of the
building and hop into the rafters. Simply work your way across to the Jack In
The
Boxes on the far side.
Non-Secret) Just above the cool car the baluster destroys is a hook usable with
your trusty Scourge. Zip up and grab The Rose on the rafter.
Air Realm -- 2 Secrets
1) After turning off the first set of electrical beams, there are three doors,
one of which is jammed. To get into this room, find the vent in the left room
and
follow it around to this otherwise inaccessible room. You'll get some ammo and a
Jack In The Box.
2) In the area where you drain the two containers, there's a vent on top of the
stack of computers. Hop up and follow the vent to a bunch of goodies: Black
Diamonds, Jack In The Boxes, and some ammo.
Fire Realm -- 4 Secrets
1) In the first area, you'll need to make a couple of whip jumps across some
lava
pools, then you'll walk up a variety of rafters and ledges. Just before you make
a jump across to a ledge taking you out of the area, look down. You'll see a
tiled area with a rusty silver door. Jump down and open it to get some ammo.
2) When you blow the hole in the side of the cavern using the explosive barrels,
you'll find a ledge leading down to a differently colored piece of rock. Smash
it
to get access to a Rose and some ammo.
3) After grabbing the Armor, you'll be facing a machine sliding back and forth
into a furnace. If you make your way forward onto this machine and look up,
you'll see a small square of fire which lights up your cross hairs. Shoot it to
open a secret compartment containing an Invulnerability Talisman and a Rose.
Note: it might be safer to shoot the square from the floor, the machine really
hurts sometimes.
You'll see a secret ledge has been
revealed containing a Rage Talisman, some ammo, and some health.

Solution for KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child
Pablo Ramirez: The Starbearer
-aka Paul Stanley
Water Realm
This is the Water Realm. The old avatars are powerless, lost in the void with
their masters. It is you that have been favored to be the Starbearer's champion
in this time of desperation. Your journey will be a perilous one. From the
moving shadows of tattered back streets, through the haze of the city heart, you
must pass through hallowed halls to finally reach into the circus and strike at
the root of evil. The contamination from the Nightmare Child is already seeping
out of the seams of the cosmos, giving darkness eyes to see with . . and fangs
to
tear with. Steal yourself! Fear will take shape before your eyes.
Mission 1: Bad Streets
Your journey will begin in the Roadhouse, the type of place where guys have
longer hair than their women and everyone has a Harley Davidson tattoo. Some on
their forehead. Madame Raven will speak to you right off the bat, telling you
to go upstairs and arm yourself. Sure enough, near the edge of the loft is
Pablo's melee weapon, the Thornblade, along with the Elder's Gauntlets.
Before heading down the stairs, take a running leap off of the loft onto the
metal pipes near the ceiling fan. Walk the pipes to the wall to grab a Rose.
Nothing better than starting off the game with an extra 100HP!
Descend back down the stairs and use your new blade to slice through the fencing
over the bar. Dive over the bar like you were one of the rowdy regulars and
flip
the switch on the wall. A door opens and your first swarm of Headless pony up
to the bar. Chop them down with the Thornblade, grab the health tubes if
necessary, and jump back over the bar.
Opposite the bar, down the small hallway next to the stage is a jukebox. Give
yourself some tunes to listen to while you hack and slash through your first few
Headless. Be sure to double-back to the juke when the song's over to pick up
the
ammo that will appear. Open the door nearest the jukebox, admire yourself in
the
mirror for a moment, and then grab the ammo from the floor.
Across from the stage, near the picnic table, is a door to a closet. Go in and
grab the pamphlet and health flask. Journey down the hallway opposite the
stage. Smash the wooden crates around the bend, past the locked door, to reveal
a Jack-in-the-Box. Go through the next door to the storage room. Bludgeon the
Headless that attack from the right. Collect the Black Diamonds and other
goodies from the shelving and then open the door to the small room. Grab the
Pamphlet but don't worry about not being able to reach the Key for now. You'll
drop in from the top ledge soon enough.
Begin up the spiral staircase in the other room. Kill the Headless and grab the
Jack-in-the-Boxes and health vial if need be. Proceed ahead into the next area,
smashing the boxes and killing the Headless that leap out. Swipe your blade at
the yellow electrical panel to open the door. Go inside and collect the hidden
bounty (don't miss the Hawk Eyes nearest the window) but be sure not to fall
through the holes. Oh, sure, you could finish the first part of the mission in
record time, but what fun would that be?! Remember to return to this area when
you get a gun. That way you'll have the range to shoot out the stained glass
lantern and get the ammo it drops.
Dozens of Headless will be emanating from two Spawners ahead (think Gauntlet).
When the doors on your left open, run in and crush the generator. Head to the
back of the room and grab the Zero Cannon. If you took too much damage in that
exchange, be sure to return to the bar and stage downstairs to grab some health.
Now head for the second Spawner around the corner. Shoot it up and grab the
extra ammo and health flask, as well as the Black Diamonds. Behind a now-open
door along the wall across the room is a hole in the floor. Drop down to
collect
a huge bounty in ammo, Jack-in-the-Boxes and health. Just over the ledge is the
Key. As you move towards the ledge two Headless will leap up at you. Frag them
with your Zero Cannon and carefully drop down onto the Key.
Although you now have the key and can exit the Roadhouse, don't do it. There's
still another Secret to find, along with some more items. Go back up the spiral
stairs to the room with the holes in the floor; the one you had to access by
destroying the electrical panel. Carefully run off the ledge into the hole in
the floor away from the stained glass window. With some luck you will not fall
through the hole directly below you, but will land on the middle floor, in an
area you have not seen yet. Kill the Headless and jump onto the pipes. Work
your way around to the right to find the second secret and the rest of the
items.
Jump down off the pipes, open the door with the Key, and enter the last hallway.
Stand back and shoot the oil drums to blast open the door. Don't take that
breath of relief yet, your only half done with this mission.
Step out of the Roadhouse and into the streets. A couple of mini T-rex's called
Stumps will attack from the alleyway to your right. The Stumps, unlike the
Headless, have a ranged firebomb attack as well as an up-close bite. You'll
want
to strafe side-to-side as you gun them down. Gather up the ammo along the wall,
not missing the one behind the ductwork in the corner by the water. Kill the
Headless throughout the area and gather up all the items you see fit. Make note
of where the sign for the Docks is, you'll be going there once you're better
prepared.
Head back to the wall nearest the Roadhouse and make your way down the alleyway
to the next open area. Things are going to seem pretty chaotic at first as
swarms of Headless, Stumps, and Batwings will be coming for you time after time.
Across from where you enter the area is a shed. Open the door, grab the
Pamphlet, and remember where the Key is. Once you acquire the second shard of
armor your jumping ability will be much better so don't be discouraged about
your
lack of ups.
The main area has several health potions on the fence posts, as well as a Rose
at
the end of the walkway. Don't take them until you absolutely need to. And
trust
me, you'll need to. As you move towards the staircase at the far end Headless
will leap out of the windows from the warehouse. Light 'em up and head down the
stone steps.
Shooting on the move, blow your way through the Stumps and grab the items to the
right. Head through the small opening left of the stairs and make a dash for
the
water. Collect all of the ammo from the two tunnels as well as the deep
sections
of the pool. Climb out via the ladder and take cover under the building ahead.
Kill the creatures, grab the items, and definitely grab the Magma Cannon in the
orange-lit alcove. Keep a close on your ammo reserves with this one, as it
drain
4 ammo points per squeeze of the trigger. Leave the area and head up the stairs
near the billboard.
Once in the red brick building, grab the health and the Hawk Eyes and shoot out
the lantern for more ammo. Continue ahead, out of the building and onto the
platform. Using the Zero Cannon, push straight ahead for the Spawner, With
less
Stumps being produced, you'll be able to explore a little better. Return
towards
the red brick structure and take the ammo to the left of the stairs. Now, drop
down off the walkway onto the ground and explore the area.
Continue grabbing all of the ammo and health you can carry, all the while
massacring anything that moves. There are two small openings on the ground
level: one under the upper platform and a second across from the wooden doors of
the Indigo Palace. Clear the area of spawn and grab the items from under the
platform and amongst the crates in the corner. Now head for the crawlspace
opposite the Indigo Palace doors and flip the switch.
The doors to the Palace open and two Blademasters instantly attack. Take them
down in HP with the Zero Cannon, and then switch to your Thornblade to finish
them off. Weave back and forth as you move in for the kill with the Thornblade
to prevent being hit.
With the Blademasters out of the way, move to the rear of the palace and grab
the
second piece of the armor. Grab the Pamphlet and the ammo and then turn your
crosshair on the beautifully constructed stained glass windows. Blowing them to
pieces will reward you with a shower of ammo. Leave the Palace.
Now, with the help of the second armor fragment, leap up to grab that bundle of
ammo you couldn't reach earlier. Don't forget the Jack-in-the-Box in the
corner! Now you can head for the Docks. Just remember to grab the Key from the
shed first.
Under the sign for the Docks is a skull. "Use" the skull and a Black Diamond
will appear. Grab it!
Head down the stairs leading to the Docks. Blow apart the Spawner and the
Stumps
it continuously produces. Pick up all of the ammo tablets and the pamphlet.
Head down the next set of stairs and use the key to unlock the gate.
Round the corner to your right and hold onto the trigger. Strafe left to right
while mowing down the attacking Stumps. Craw under the water tower to grab the
items. Now, jump down into the water to the right. Pick up all of the ammo and
climb the ladder to the very top.
On the ledge high above the water tower is the third and final secret spot. As
soon as you get to the top of the ladder turn around and start firing. Some
marauding Stumps got to get put down first. Grab the Hawk's Eye and the
Pamphlet
and then leap down behind the water tower.
With the area clear of baddies, run to the edge of the wooden walkway and flip
the switch to open the doors to the next area. You'll be faced with several
threats to your safety as you go through the doorway so you better keep moving.
Headless, Stumps, and the first boss will be gunning for you right from the get-
go. Grab the ammo from against the far wall and dive into the water. Kill the
Stumpy on the far ledge and then pick up the ammo from the water. Swim under
the
wooden walkway to find more ammo.
Arachniclown has a powerful laser blast that can do tremendous damage. Here's a
tip on beating him without: 1) ever getting hit, and 2) never even having to
move. Position yourself in the water just out from under the wooden planking.
Face the hallway where Arachniclown paces back and forth and watch for the
shadows of his movements. Keeping your crosshair on the center window, fire
your
Magma Cannon whenever you see a flash of movement. Your shot will find its way
through the barred window and into the belly of the 8-legged beast.
With Arachniclown out of the way, climb out of the water, grab any health that
you might need and run up the ramp. A few last Headless will attack at the top
of the ramp. Dispatch them as quickly as they appear and grab the items and
open
the door. Proceed down the ramps to the mirror at the bottom. This mirror will
transport you to your next mission.
Mission 2: Pain Plaza
Pain Plaza begins with a slow elevator ride down into an abandoned building
complete with debris, dilapidated walls, and of course, plenty of spawn.
Proceed
ahead through the hallway past the first room on the right and around the bend.
Three Headless are around the corner. This is a great time to practice your
aiming. Take well-aimed precise shots at them, conserving your ammo for the
upcoming assaults. Continue on until you reach the impassable pile of debris.
Not a wasted trip mind you, the Black Diamonds and Jack-in-the-Box will come in
handy soon enough.
Return the way you came, this time entering the room on your left. Grab the
items and blast away the two breakable crates. The one on the upper ledge will
release a Headless. Blast him and crawl through the space to the next room.
Again you must shoot the crate and the Headless within it. Jump down, grab the
Jack-in-the-Box and get ready for some action.
Down the stairs to the right is a Spawner. It's going to be tough but resist
the
urge to run down the stairs and crush it. For as soon as you make a move down
the steps three Stumps attack from your rear. Who knows where they came from,
but turn around and waste them. Now go ahead and put away the Headless and the
Spawner from which they are generated.
If you've dipped below 100HP, retrace your steps to pick up the Health Vial near
the start of the mission.
Begin down the spiraling staircase and take a running jump over the white plasma
being shot across the stairs. Use your Black Diamonds to enter the Rage State,
you're going to need this boost of aggression. As soon as you round the corner
and enter the next hallway all hell breaks loose. Two side rooms, one on each
side, each have a Spawner generating an endless stream of Stumps. Run and jump
down the hall to the Spawner in the room on the right. Use the Magma Cannon to
obliterate it and grab the Black Diamonds along the wall. Switch back to the
Zero Cannon and backpedal to grab the health flasks in the far end of the room.
Keep firing and strafing until there is a lull in the number of Stumps attacking
you. Switch back to the Magma Cannon and head back down the hall to destroy
the
other Spawner. Grab the ammo along the far wall before leaving.
Pick up the item at the end of the hall and follow the corridor ahead until you
see the Spawner. As was the case earlier, three Stumps attack from behind. No
ones got your back, so you better turn around and cover your rump from that
Stump! The Stumps are right on you so go ahead and gib them with the
Thornblade. Stay with the blade and hack your way to the Spawner. With the
last
enemy destroyed, the gate to the left will open, allowing access to the next
area. Grab the Pamphlet and Health Flask behind the Spawner before you move on.
Enter the next area to be introduced to the fifth enemy to make an appearance in
the game, the disgusting Gasbag. Head directly to the far left corner for the
ammo. In addition to the three Gasbags hovering in the center, two Stumps will
emerge on the far balcony. Take out the Stumps first, switch to the Magma
Cannon
and blast the disgusting Gasbags. The Gasbags will upchuck some sort of
rebounding vomitory goo at you. Keep on the move, watch for the rebounds and
you
should be ok.
Run down the spiral stairs to the bottom floor, picking up the Health Flask and
Jack-in-the-Box along the way. Behind the counter is another Health Flask and a
switch. Flip the switch to open the gate above, gaining access to the next
shard
of the armor. As soon as you do, two Gasbags and a slew of Headless drop down
to
greet you. Circle the room blasting the Headless, all the while dodging the
spewing nastiness from the Gasbags. As soon as the last Headless is limbless,
bust out the Magma Cannon and pop a very big cap in the two other baddies in the
room. Pick up the ammo they drop and return to the upper level.
Grab the Belt and take the lift downstairs. There's no going back now.
Step off the lift ready to do battle as you will be instantly swarmed by
Headless. Conserve your precious ammo by using the Thornblade to dismember them
limb by bloody limb. A pair of Stumps will emerge near the steps once the last
Headless is in a pile of guts. Dance around near the bar, dodging their blasts
of fire. One by one, they will grow anxious and charge you. Gib them with the
Thornblade when they do. Approach the stairs.
Under the small staircase is an alcove containing several Black Diamonds.
Crawl
under the steps to find this secret.
Head up the stairs, grab the Health Flasks, and enter the control room. Jump
onto the pipes to reach the ammo in the corner of the room. Jump back down and
turn the wheel. This will raise the fence on the ledge, allowing you to finish
the first part of Pain Plaza. But, before you go, you must defeat the
Blademaster. Dodge his initial attack and rush him, swinging the Thornblade
mercilessly. Finish him off and leave the area through the opening.
As you begin to climb the ramp, three Headless drop in to say hi. At the top of
the ramp turn around and grab the items behind you on the ledge. Among them is
the Pamphlet that details the Black Diamond. Continue down the hallway and make
a left. In the courtyard ahead as an Arachniclown. Using the Thornblade,
circle
around it until it shoots its lightning rays. Immediately after, move in and
swing twice. Then circle around again and again until its dead. Grab the ammo
it drops as well as the ammo and health along the wall. For your sake, these
past couple of Health Flasks should be unnecessary. You'll need them soon
enough.
Head up the step to the fountain (Don't jump in looking for pennies!!!), switch
to your gun of choice, and head towards the alleyway on the left. Behind the
wall to the left is a Spawner generating Headless, and down the alley ahead and
to the right, is another one spewing forth Stumps. If you keep near the
fountain, the Stumps will not detect you and you'll be able to clear them out
one
at a time. At the end of a path opposite the first Spawner is another Pamphlet.
Once your no longer under fire, you can grab the items above the hanging
lanterns
by jumping off of the fence posts near the stairs. The door here is locked, you
will return once you collect the key.
Return back to the cobble stone street below the fountain. To the far left,
down
a pathway is a Stump guarding some more ammo. Get it and then head to the path
under the green archways. Run ahead collecting all of the Black Diamonds, for a
Blademaster will begin throwing his flaming circular saw blades at you. After
getting the last of the items, return to face the Blademaster. Using the Magma
Cannon, stay on the move and fire right after he does. Once he's finished, move
on ahead inside the building with the purple wallpaper.
Grab the Jack-in-the-Box on the right, kill the three Stumps around the corner
to
the left and Spawner in the next room. Grab the Key and Health Flask and climb
the stairs to the attic door at the top. On a raised platform is another
Spawner
birthing Headless faster than you can say "umbilical cord". Use the Zero Cannon
from the corner of the room near the door and shoot at the top half of the
Spawner. Grab the Health, ammo, and, of course, the Windblade amongst the
rafters. You shouldn't need it, but there's another Health Vial behind the door
you opened. Head back down the steps.
Go around the bar and down the stairs along the far wall. Break apart the
middle steps and drop into the secret area. Two Spawners and a host of assorted
nastiness will attack at once. Throw some Jack-in-the-Boxes and use the Magma
Cannon to take them out. Watch for the Headless that busts out of the far wall.
Grab the items and return up the stairs and back to the fountain.
Return to the pair of locked doors at the end of the alleyway and use the Key to
enter the building. You have now found the library. Three Stumps will attack
from behind the door. Smoke 'em and then grab the health and ammo they were
guarding. Follow the walkway to the library. Pick up the items and then
continue on. Gasbags and a Blademaster are in the study. Watch for their
ranged
attacks (especially the rebounding ones the Gasbags spew forth) and use your
newly acquired gun to chop them down. Grab the ammo they yield as well as the
ammo and the health on the balcony. Leave the room through the wooden door.
This is where it gets weird. You leave the realm of reality (yes, in this case
clowns with spider-legs are reality) to emerge on a bookshelf in an immensely
overgrown environment. The walls are composed of books, each of which are
thicker than you are tall. Go too close to the edge and its over for you.
This
area of the mission is going to place a lot of emphasis on climbing, jumping,
and
exploring for all of the items that remain to be found.
Bust out the Thornblade and head for the top of the folded-over book. A small
army of enemies will attack from the other side. Once you dispose of them head
for the Health Flask and the ladder behind it.
Climb the ladder to the next shelf up. Here, you can grab a pair of
Jack-in-the-
Boxes. Carefully step back onto the ladder and climb to the next shelf. Twp
Gasbags will begin firing on you immediately. Step onto the ledge to your
right,
jump over to the Black Diamonds and strafe side to side while blowing them away
with the Magma Cannon. Use the Zero Cannon on the Spawner in the distance and a
Jack-in-the-Box on the mass of Headless that pile up on the far ledge. Jump
across the gap and duck between the first two books for some items. Approach
the
stack of books beyond the collapsed Spawner. Around the back of this stack is a
Health Vial, as well as a BladeMaster perched high above. Duck in and out from
behind the books to fire at him. A few shots with the Magma Cannon will bring
him down. Just ahead, behind the next upright book is a Stump guarding several
Black Diamonds. Further ahead is another Spawner. Rush right past it and up
the
Green Book. Turn around and fire the new gun at it. Quickly switch to the
Thornblade to chop up any of the survivors.
Approach the ledge of the shelf in front of the Spawner you just destroyed.
Fall
off the edge onto the beige book sticking out directly below. Now walk to the
left and fall onto the book below, allowing you to grab the Black Diamonds
there. Jump off the book, bust out the Thornblade and slice up the Spawner in
between the two books ahead. DO NOT GRAB THE ARMOR YET!
Head back to the ladder on the far side of the beige book. Descend the ladder
to
the bottom floor and grab the pair of Jack-in-the-Boxes. Climb the ladder back
up to the top and, once again, fall off the ledge onto the beige book on the
middle shelf.
A purple book sticks out on the shelf below. Take a running jump onto this
book. Don't worry about the damage you'll incur, there's a Health Flask there
to
make up for it. Grab the Pamphlet to learn about the Arachniclown. Drop off
the
book and climb the ladder you first ascended earlier on.
Retrace your footsteps back to the middle shelf. Perform one last check that to
see that you didn't miss any items, and then grab the next shard of armor, the
Vest. Upon grabbing the armor, you are transported to the other side of the
door
you entered back in the study. Quicksave before you go.
You will land right in a bee's nest. A couple of Stumps, a Spawner, and an
Arachniclown are all directly ahead of you. Use the Magma Cannon to take out
the
Stumps that are right on you and then aim for the clown. Grab some health if
you
need to and then run around the corner to bash in the Spawner. Grab the ammo
and
health down the hall. Turn the wheel to drain the fountain in the courtyard.
It
appears the main work has been done, all you have to do is fight your way out of
the library. It's not that easy.
In the study, at the top of the stairs, are several Stumps, some Headless, and a
few Gasbags hovering just out of sight. Use the Zero Cannon and a Jack-in-the-
Box to take care of the ground troops, then switch to your new gun to take care
of the Gasbags through the next doorway. Exit the library and head back towards
the fountain. An Arachniclown meets you halfway. Once the Arachniclown has
been
put away drop down into the fountain, grab the ammo, and jump in the hole to
move
on to the last section of the mission.
You begin the final part of the mission face-to-face with the Unipscyho. Back
away at once while firing your Zero Cannon. Headless will drop in through the
sewer pipes so keep moving. Continue circling the room until the Headless have
been destroyed, then switch to your newest gun and take distant shots at the
Unipsycho with it. Once you give him a permanent flat tire, grab the health and
ammo and descend into the sewers.
A Spawner lies ahead. Bring it down and then advance slowly towards the
spillway. Once you approach the ammo, a few Stumps attack from the rear. It's
the old "where did they come from" story again. Blow them away and grab the
ammo
at the edge. Using your Windblade, blast the pile of crates below, sending to
hell any Headless that survive the initial blast. Jump down off the ledge.
Two Blademasters are positioned above you on the left side of the room. Using
one of your bigger guns, stay on the move and take them out. Watch for the
crossfire. Climb the ladder in the opposite corner from where you entered the
room, grab the items there and turn and jump to the wooden platform with the
Diamonds.
From the wooden platform, run and leap onto the ledge where the other
Blademaster stood to locate this next secret. Return to the landing near the
ladder you climbed.
Begin down the tunnel, making the first right you come to and following it to
some ammo and health. Turn back around and equip yourself with the big gun.
Rush ahead and pop the Spawner around the bend before it even gets operating.
Backpedal and fire a shot at the Stumps that are also in the vicinity. Destroy
the second Spawner from a distance, before it too, even gets operational. Grab
the Health if you need
Run up the ramp and turn around ASAP! A Blademaster will begin throwing his
curving sawblades at you immediately. Three shots with your big gun is all it
will take. Once dead, take a running leap onto the platform he stood upon
to "find" the next secret. Grab the items (especially the Rose), jump down, and
move on.
You will come out of the tunnel in a large room, complete with a stunning night
sky, hundreds of crates, and of course, all the wholesome badness you can
handle. Nearly two dozen Headless and Stumps will attack at once. Throw a
couple of Jack-in-the-Boxes if you got the room, and use a user-friendly weapon
like the Zero Cannon or the Thornblade to eradicate the rest.
It should come of no surprise to you that there are many items hiding in the
nooks and crannies of the pile of crates. Facing the pile you can find: several
Black Diamonds in the top right, ammo along the rear wall to the left, and a
Jack-
in-the-Box and a Rose in the middle of the stack on the left. In addition to
having over 200HP, you should have the Rage Orb fully powered up by accumulating
over 40 Black Diamonds.
Climb the small steps, grab what you need, and approach the valve. By turning
the valve you open the gated area of the main chamber, but also cause the
poisonous ooze to begin accumulating. Hurry back to the main room, descend the
ladder, and enter the tunnel towards the Jack-in-the-Box on the far platform. It
is highly recommended that you Quick Save here.
Upon grabbing the item, you launch yourself into a dreaded jumping exercise.
With the deadly goo rising up from the floor you must jump from platform-to-
platform, back and forth across the room in a zig-zag pattern. After the fourth
jump you will see a tunnel on the far side where several Stumps and Gasbags
await
your arrival. Strafing (careful not to fall off the ledge) and firing the Magma
Cannon will clear a path for your safe passage.
Head through the tunnel into a tall tower with a spiraling staircase. More
Gasbags and countless Headless attack you at once. Blast the Gasbags of the air
while avoiding the Headless. Then, using the Thornblade, charge up the stairs
and dismantle the Spawner and the rest of the Headless. Don't use the Looking
Glass just yet; there's three more secrets to find! Don't worry, they're right
under your nose.
Return to the bottom of the spiraling staircase. Jump from the stairs into the
small arched tunnel above the lantern to find the secret. Grab the Pamphlet to
learn about Madame Raven.
Above Secret #6 is another small arched tunnel wherein lies a secret. This one
only holds a Jack-in-the-Box, but who cares? Got to pad those statistics!
You guessed it! Above Secret #7 is another secret tunnel, this one yielding an
impressive Rose for your trouble. Fitting, for this makes up for all the damage
you incur if you happen to plummet to the floor below.
Climb the stairs and use the Looking Glass to move on to the next mission.
You begin the third mission outside the Cathedral on a grassy courtyard. Three
Gasbags hover to your left and an army of Headless come at you from all angles.
Use the Thornblade to chop down a few of the Headless and then switch to the
Magma Cannon or Windblade to go after the Gasbags. Just be sure to stay to the
right side (facing the Cathedral) of the yard, as many more enemies lurk on the
far side. A Pamphlet lies behind the column to the right of the locked door.
Grab it and head to the other side of the yard ready for a fight.
As soon as you cross the yard a Blademaster and nearly a dozen Headless attack.
Circle the yard firing the Windblade at the Blademaster while heaving
Jack-in-the-
Boxes at the Headless. With the coast clear, grab the Health Flask and pass
under the arch towards the tower.
A Unipsycho and a half-dozen Stumps attack you at once. Circle the central
tower
hitting them with everything you got. Once they have been eliminated, the gate
to the tower opens, revealing the Scourge and some health. Back out of the
tower
to avoid the Headless that fall from above. Toss a Jack-in-the-Box at them and
then move in and use the Scourge to grapple onto the ring high above. Jump onto
the platform and cut up any remaining Headless and grab the goods.
Carefully step out the window onto the flying buttress. Cross over to the roof
and approach the balcony to the right. A Unipsycho rolls towards you but you
should have no problem dropping him with the Zero Cannon while he wrestles with
the fence on the balcony. Jump on to the balcony and grab the ammo along the
wall. Round the corner and kill the Headless and move on. A Key to the
Cathedral is just ahead. Run and get it and then kill the Gasbags that bust
through the window to get you.
Head back towards the window you climbed out of. Below the ledge you stepped
out
onto is another one with a Pamphlet. Run off the roof of the building onto this
lower buttress and grab the Pamphlet. Jump down and head to the front of the
Cathedral, where you began the mission. Use the Key to enter and kill the four
Stumps that attack.
Shoot the door to the left. It breaks apart revealing a Secret Rage Orb, an
awesome item to find.
Grab the Health Flask and the three Jack-in-the-Boxes across the hall. Begin
down the long corridor. As you near the door you will be attacked by more
Headless and a couple Gasbags. A couple of Jack-in-the-Boxes for the Headless
and the Magma Cannon for the Gasbags and you're good to go. Pick up the ammo
for
the Windblade and switch to it since a Unipsycho is going to leap out of the
stairs at you. Blow him to hell and grab the ammo he drops before entering the
stairwell. Pick up the Health Flask and climb the ladder to the ledge above.
Walk out onto the beams to get the ammo and then slowly approach the door. In
the next hallway on the right are two Stumps. To the left, where the ledge goes
high above the central room, are a half-dozen Gasbags. Use the wall of the
hallway for cover as you alternate shots with them. Once you pop the last
Gasbag
continue on ahead, mindful of the Stump that is going to jump out from around
the
corner. Blast him with the Magma Cannon and grab the items there and further
down the hall near the ladder.
Descend the ladder to the floor below. Take aim at the face-shaped fountain on
the wall. Fire at it to reveal Health Vials. This will work six times. Switch
to the Windblade and run into the room on the left and blast the Spawner there
before it gets up and running. Quicksave your progress, use the Rage Orb, and
pass through the door.
The Fat Lady is not difficult to beat alone, its with the tens of Headless that
continuously charge you that things get difficult. By alternating between the
Thornblade to clear out the Headless and the Windblade to shoot at the Fat Lady,
you will eventually prevail. During the battle you could retreat to where the
Health Vials and the fountain are to regroup and replenish any drained HP. Then
attack again. The Headless will stop coming once you kill the Fat Lady. Grab
the Plate from the altar and enjoy the extra 100HP it allows you to carry. If
you're not at 200, jump onto the fallen column to grab the Health Flask and then
head back towards the door you entered this area from. "God Gave Rock and Roll
to You" will echo through the spacious halls of the Cathedral while you complete
this section of the mission.
High above is a ring that you can grapple to with the Scourge. In doing so you
will drop onto a Secret ledge where you can obtain your first Angel Charm.
Return the way you came, up the ladder, across the ledge and back to the areas
with the wooden beams near the first ladder.
Walk out onto the highest set of beams and drop down onto the middle set.
There, in a newly revealed alcove in the wall is the next Secret, as well as a
Rose that should top you off at 250HP!
Jump back to the ladder and descend. Cross over into the other part of the main
room, where you used the Scourge to find Secret #2. Enter the area behind the
now open doors against the wall in the corner. The water will drain, revealing
an exit from this area.
The second area of Cathedral begins in a damp section of the church with a sort
of condemned appearance. Your first encounter is with the now-commonplace
Headless. A few on the ground and another ten or so will leap through the
stained glass window. Now that's a sacrilege! When your done laying your Zero
Cannon smack down on them grab the two Pamphlets around the corner to the right.
Open the door at the end of the hall and blast the three Strutters that crawl
towards you. Watch out for their barely visible saliva streams, they sting your
HP pretty bad.
Double back to where the Headless were. Upon killing the last of these three
Strutters, the wall opens revealing a Secret Rage Orb.
Continue on through the bends in the corridor. You will emerge in a larger room
with a puddle in the center and an angry Arachniclown trying to "light" you up.
Pun fully intended. Use the Magma Cannon and alternate shots with it, while
ducking in and out of the stairwell. As you go for the ammo it drops, a
concrete
slab seals the top part of the staircase and three Strutters and a Blademaster
join the fracas. Retreat to the top of the stairs, near the Health Flask, where
you can shower them with Jack-in-the-Boxes and Magma Cannon firepower.
Step out into the large hall and approach the fountain on the wall. Once again
you can take some swipes at a fountain to produce some Health Vials for
yourself. This one works five times. Travel towards the other end of the room,
killing the two Gasbags along the way. Leave the health where it is unless you
really need it.
Bust through the wooden barricade and slaughter the Headless that attack. At
the
far end of this next section is a Fat Lady. And if that wasn't enough for you;
in the alcove on the right is a Blademaster. Use the Windblade on each of them
(the Blademaster will drop additional ammo for it) and use the other half of the
room behind the wall for cover. Once you clear them both out, grab all of the
Health and Jack-in-the-Boxes lying around and approach the water where the Fat
Lady was.
Follow the water down the tunnel and open the gate. The Stargaze weapon is
across the room on a ledge guarded by an Arachniclown. On a ledge in the center
is a Rose. Elsewhere throughout the room is a bunch of Health, some ammo,
items,
and a large amount of evil.
Before dropping onto the floor, send a few shots of the Windblade at the
Arachniclown across the room. With any luck you'll kill him. Switch to the
Thornblade and jump to the floor. Plasma Traps line the walls, two Blademasters
and a dozen or so Headless attack on foot, and several Gasbags hover above. You
can crawl around to avoid the Plasma Traps. But whatever you do, keep moving
and
swinging that blade and you'll come out ok. Once the ground troops have been
properly terminated, switch to the Magma Cannon and deflate the airborne
Gasbags. Pick up all of the items and make your way up the ladder in the far
right corner from where you came in.
Equip yourself with something more powerful and hit the small ledge running.
Along the next wall are three Stumps. Take them out and step onto the ledge
where they were perched. Finish off any remaining Gasbags and take a breather.
I know you want to leap for that Rose in the center (which you could) but don't.
Every time you have to climb the ladder, the Stumps and Gasbags regenerate. You
may not be as lucky next time.
Instead, climb the ladder to the ledge above. The perceptive gamer will notice
that the wall to your right can be busted apart revealing a secret. Don't go
for
it yet, as you will be dropped right where you first entered this area . . .
smack dab in the line of seņor Clown's fire. Approach the edge with the
Windblade ready. Two Gasbags will jump out right in front of you. Take a shot
while back pedaling back off the elevated ledge. More Gasbags begins firing at
you from the center of the room. Strafe along this ledge, taking them out
one-by-
one. When the last one is dead climb the ladder and drop down the other side.
Follow the perimeter as quickly as possible to the landing where the lever is.
Don't try and pull it just yet if the Arachniclown is still kicking. You'll be
better served by ducking in behind it. Using the Windblade and the lever for
cover, bring down the Arachniclown across the gap. Now pull the lever.
Cross the platform that extends from the wall and grab the Stargaze weapon. The
room begins to quake and the grating on the floor falls into the water. That is
your way out. But, before you go, jump down to the floor and climb the ladder
to
the left. Blast the Stumps and Gasbags that reappear and climb the second
ladder.
Shoot the off-colored portion of wall at the top of the ladder. Jump in to
grab
some Windblade ammo and to find this secret.
Take a running leap for the Rose, kill the Gasbags, and then dive into the water
in the center of the room under the arch.
When you dive down into the water, its important to stay calm you have about 12
seconds of air. Spin around in one place until you see the busted open iron
gate. That's your way out. Swim through and get some air. At the far end of
the tunnel are three Spawners, two of which are out of sight. Tread water while
firing or jump onto the small ledge to the right. Even though the Headless look
like crabs, they're afraid of the water. Blast the first Spawner with the
Windblade then use the Stargaze for everything around the corner. It drains a
ton of ammo but man does it make life so much easier!
Through the doors, behind the wall to the left is a Fat Lady. Face left and
strafe sidestep inch by inch until you can just see her girth from around the
wall. You can safely stand there unnoticed while you change her diet forever
with all the Magma she can handle. As soon as she dies, the water in the room
starts rising. No sweat! Just dive in and cross the room to the right, near
the
small steps. A few Strutters will come around the corner to greet you. Kill
them.
As you make your move up the steps you hear the obnoxious noises of the Gasbags.
Return to the bottom of the stairs and get ready for a fight. Several Gasbags
will attack from each opening, in addition to another Arachniclown at the top of
the steps. Replenish the HP you lose by diving down to the bottom of the water
and swimming under the platform to find three Health Flasks.
Swim into a chimney-like area beyond the Health Flasks. Use you Scourge to
hoist yourself up to the branch above. While holding the "Attack" button down,
turn around and move yourself towards the ledge. Jump onto it and carefully
pick
up the precious items over the metal bars.
Directly below you is the last enemy in the area: another Fat Lady. Hit her a
couple times with the Windblade, toss a couple Jack-in-the-Boxes down on her and
then jump down into the ever-rising water.
Climb out of the water into the large central room. You can see the exit
through
the doorway on the right. Grab the Health Flask off the platform on the right
on
your way out of area 2.
Ahhh, the attic. Here, in this third and final area of the Cathedral, will you
see more enemies per square pixel than anywhere you've been so far. Up the ramp
ahead of you is a Fat Lady, a Spawner, and what seems to be an endless surge of
Headless. Slice and dice your way to the rear of the room with the Thornblade
and then switch to the Wingblade. Take out the Spawner with a shot at its base
and then turn your attention on the large one. Circle around the room, blasting
away at her as you go. Pick up the ammo and open the gray door near the
Spawner.
Upon opening the door, the room fills with water. Swim back to the area above
where you started to find a Secret Rage Orb.
Enter the area through the door. The three concrete boxes along the far wall
have items in them, but will remain inaccessible until you destroy the
Arachniclown that appears. Move towards the center of this long room. As you
do, the clown, along with a dozen or so Headless attack. Kill the Arachniclown
first so as to get the Health and ammo you likely need.
Pick up the items at the opposite end of the room and approach the open doorway.
In the next hallway are some Strutters, an Arachniclown, and a Blademaster.
Lure
them into the larger room you just emptied so you can maneuver better for clean
shots.
Reenter the hallway and look up. You should immediately notice the Rose on the
beam. To the left of the Rose, up higher, is a ring that you can reach with
your
Scourge. Remember where this ring is, you'll be coming back to it for the next
Secret as well.
Pass through the doors into the next room and kill the Headless that swarm you.
Grab the Health and approach the stairs in the corner. Circle around the
platform slowly, looking up at the bells for Gasbags. Use the Magma Cannon to
take them out before climbing the ladder.
Draw the Windblade and climb the ladder rung by rung. Get near the top and
start
firing at the Fat Lady across the way. By staying on the ladder and firing
constantly, you'll be able to pin her down and kill her with the least of
efforts.
As soon as the Fat Lady dies, the water starts rising throughout the church.
Quickly run back to where you earlier grappled up to reach the Rose. Now, a
small alcove reveals a Angel Charm. Grab it and run back quickly. The
invincibility it offers will help tremendously.
Don't worry about the items near the bells for there's a lot of crabs in this
belfry. Jump from the boxes to attain the platform and then climb the ladder up
to the door. Two Spawners generating over twenty Headless lie behind the door.
As soon as you open the door, hit the Spawner in its base with the Windblade.
Retreat back to the floor below as the invincibility is waning.
Grab the items and Health and break out the Thornblade. Cut yourself a path
through the oodles of Headless that now await you. Two swipes is all it takes
to
bring down the Spawner. Once you disable it retreat once more. A Fat Lady is
above you firing at you. Once the very last Headless is defeated, arm yourself
with the Windblade and back up the ramp until the smallest bit of that large
woman is showing. Unload on her. Again you'll pin her down and she won't get
any hits in on you.
One last Spawner lies ahead at the top of the small staircase leading into the
steeple. This one gives birth to the fire breathing Stumps. A good shot from
the Windblade or, if you just want to get it over with, use the Stargaze. Climb
the ladder and look into the mirror. You're done with the Cathedral.
Mission 4: Freak Show
Freak Show begins where Cathedral left off. You stand in the top of the
steeple,
only outside it is not air as you may expect, but the grounds of a most
horrifying carnival. Now we know why Austin Powers' other fear was Carnies.
You
know, circus folk.
A dozen Headless will pour off the roof of the steeple as you exit. Slaughter
them and then move around to the other side where you can meet your first
Ballbuster. He really is one too. Use the Windblade when fighting him. It
will
take two direct hits to bring him down, but it will lessen your chances of
getting a cannon ball in the gut.
Take a running leap into the ticket booth on the right. There you will find a
Rose and the first Secret of this area.
The little canisters you see lying around are explosive. You could shoot them
from a distance when an enemy is near them. Truth be know, they aren't very
damaging. Unless something is right on top of them, they only leave a scratch.
As you move closer to the wagon ahead, Headless will bust out to greet you.
Retreat to where you came and unload on them. Enter their wagon to grab some
ammo and a Rage Orb.
Now for the tough part. Each of the awnings on the left will produce its own
variety of evil. Ballbusters, Stumps, and Blademasters will drop from the sky
depending on which one you walk near. The ammo is there to tease you into
coming
a little closer so that they might actually land on you. Sure, if you're after
point totals, rack em up. Otherwise hug the far right side as you cross through
this battlefield. They'll still come for you, but not the masses you would
endure by hanging around.
The third awning on the left, the one that launches Blademasters, has a couple
of wooden boards up top. Shoot these planks and turn to the right. A Secret
area opens revealing a Angel Charm. No better place to be invincible.
At the end of the field, where the path turns to the right, are two Blademasters
and several Headless. Slash your way through the Headless and then turn your
sights on the Blademasters as they have you in a crossfire. Kill any remaining
enemies and head into the tent in the corner with the revolving center. Several
Health Flasks are here for your HP replenishing pleasure. Bust out the Magma
Cannon and blast the two Gasbags behind the screen. You may not see them, but
you sure will kill them.
At the peak of this tent is a hook that you can grapple to with the Scourge.
Use
it drop in on the Heart Orb in the center. Just get out of there before you get
nauseous from staring at the spinning polka-dots.
Near the ramp in the distance, by the Health Flask on the left, is a small
opening in the skirt of the large red tent. Crawl under the platform to find
this Secret.
Climb the ramp and enter the door through the large clown mouth. If the door is
still blocked you must venture back around the corner and kill more freaks.
After meeting the quota, you will hear the chime and the door will open.
Inside this tent are water tanks and a center column of water, in which is a
Spawner. Head right for the Spawner and take it out with one blast of the Magma
Cannon. You can walk right through the tank walls and into the water. Weird
stuff I tell you. Kill any remaining Headless and climb the ladder and turn the
wheel. Panels in the water tanks have been raised, allowing you to access the
yard behind the tent. Or, you can jump onto the wheel and make a running jump
off the wheel and onto the tent to slide over and onto the platform where the
Health and ammo is. Grab the Diamonds in the opposite corner and follow the
pathway outside and into the yard below.
Headless, and Ballbusters follow you out. Once you put them out of their
disfigured misery, blast open the wagon to reward yourself with a Rose.
Unfortunately, doing so will trigger another Ballbuster and a Stump to attack as
well. Reenter the tent through the openings on the side to the tanks and kill
the any remaining enemies. Once the last one is put to rest, a wooden panel in
the front left corner of the tent will open, allowing you to cross an elevated
platform to the next tent.
Drop off of this elevated walkway onto the other tent's platform below. Welcome
to the big top, you're gonna wish you never came! Three Stumps and a
Blademaster
guard the way. Kill them each, grab the ammo and health, and head to the left.
An Arachniclown will pop out at the bottom of the ramp so be ready. Also, to
the
left is a Spawner cranking out Stump after Stump. Put it out of business and
move on.
A few Stumps lay further down the walkway on the left. Kill them and circle
around to the right where a Unipsycho is kept in a cage. Those bars will keep
him from getting out but his fire still can. After you waste him, enter the
cell
through the bars and grab the items there. Leave and head up the stairs to the
left.
Behind the bars straight ahead are a few Stumps. Kill them and then enter
their
cell. Blast apart the wooden wall and enter the Secret area for a Heart Orb.
Leave the cage and make a left. A Spawner generating an army of Strutters lies
around the bend. If you got the ammo to spare, use the Stargaze and make it
easy
for yourself. Otherwise a combination of the Windblade and Jack-in-the-Boxes
will do the trick. Follow the winding path until all hell breaks loose near the
next cage. A Spawner, a Unipsycho, a Blademaster, a Ballbuster, and numerous
Headless attack at once. Again, use the Stargaze if you want to have much hope
of coming out of this with substantial health remaining. Another good option,
believe it or not, is the Scourge. The whip packs a deadly punch and has a
faster firing rate than many of the guns.
Continue down the long corridor. As you near the orange box of ammo, several
Stumps and a Gasbag attack. Put them away and the exit will be open to you via
the next room. There is a lot of health along the sides of this room. Keep it
in mind as you battle the Ballbuster, Blademaster, and Gasbags. Keep moving and
firing. The size of the room will make it easy to dodge their fire.
Under the walkway that leads to the mirror is a tiny little monkey on a
tricycle. "Use" this little toy to reveal a Secret Rose. This will come as a
nice boost of HP before exiting the area.
Part two of Freak Show starts you out at the top of a ramp leading out onto a
large field, home to many circus tents. A horde of Headless attack immediately
but are easy to handle with the Thornblade if you keep swinging it as they
funnel
through the doorway. Next up: two Fat Ladies. Switch to something that has a
tad bit more range, as you really don't want to snuggle up next to these
hoochie.
The green striped tent to the left, where one of the Fat Ladies emerged has some
ammo and health available. The red polka-dot tent on the right has a Spawner in
addition to some ammo and health. If you haven't yet discovered the wonders of
the Scourge, try it. It's range and precision is awesome, not to mention the
lion-tamer feeling you get from hearing that crack of the whip.
As you leave the red tent, take note of the environment. Grab the ammo on the
right and then head to the opening in the tent way in the distance. Enter
slowly
and stand beneath the ramp. Grab the Pamphlet and take out the Spawner. Turn
around to face where you came in and gradually back up until you can just make
out the Fat Lady on the walkway above you. Send her to hell without her even
seeing you!
Now, with the coast clear run up the ramp and follow the walkway around to the
Elder Mask. With the Mask on you will have a maximum attainable HP of 250!
Walk to the edge of the ramp beyond the Elder Mask. To your right is a trap
door in the side of the tent. Step through it to fall onto a Health Flask.
Before entering the newly opened door to the big top, go straight ahead to the
area under the ramp in the middle. Here you will find a wealth of Black
Diamonds. Go back out onto the grass and approach the door. Stumps will be
there waiting for you at the bottom of the ramp, as will a Ballbuster at the
top. Try not to attract the Ballbuster until you're done with the Stumps.
Then,
climb the ramp and let him have it. To the right is a Fat Lady. Once you kill
her and move into that section of the tent you will be locked in. There will be
no return for you.
As you begin down the rickety walkway over the water, Headless and Gasbags
attack. Retreat to where you entered the area and whoop up on them. Run and
jump across the gap in the walkway and dive into the water on the other side of
the divider. Kill the mass of Headless under the water and then turn your
attention to the Ballbuster on the platform high above. You can stand in the
middle of the tent and kill him (albeit slowly) with the Magma Cannon without
ever getting hit. Grab the ammo that lies around and swim to the next area.
Climb out of the water onto the ramp and collect the Diamonds on the way to the
lever. Flip the lever to raise the dividers between the tents and swim back to
where you earlier killed the Fat Lady.
Secret #8: In the corner near the ladder is a hidden area. Swim through the
water and into this now-open alcove. Big time rewards are here for those who
make the trip.
Head back to where you battled the Ballbuster. Run up the ramp, grab the ammo
and enter the tent. The Health ahead of you is there for a reason. Before you
partake, slaughter the Fat Lady to your left. You will likely have to gib her
with the Thornblade to get by so beware the splash. Grab the Health and push on
to the center ring.
At first glance things look easy enough. A couple of Spawners generating
Headless. No prob. Think again. The third Spawner spits out Unipsychos.
Needless to say, the quicker you can put the Spawners out of commission, the
faster you will be ready to leave this godforsaken place.
If you need help with this last assault walk the perimeter of the tent to the
left of where you came in. Shoot out the wooden boards near the ceiling and run
ahead before the door slams shut. You will instantly be transported to a ledge
above the Looking Glass where an Angel Charm is waiting for you.
Jump down and smash anything that moves. When all is said and done. Gather up
the ammo and Health Flask lying around and head to the mirror. It's time for
your first Boss fight.
Boss: Fortunado
Your first impressions of Fortunado may be that he's a pushover. Especially
when
you can put him down with consecutive shots of the Windblade without him even
moving. Well, its not that easy. Fortunado is fortunate enough to have three
lives. He continues to blow himself up like some deranged helium balloon and
attacks again and again.
His second coming will have him bouncing around the place while throwing
explosive bowling pins at you like a world-class juggler. Keep on the move and
try and stay under him when he's airborne. Fire round after round of liquid
hot
magma (I love you Dr. Evil) up his kiester until he bounces no more.
When he gets up for his third attempt at killing you he flies into the air like
a
bottle rocket and begins throwing maddening amounts of bowling pins at you. He
will spin in circles slow enough for you to keep ahead of him. Keep moving and
firing, moving and firing. Break away to grab the ammo that reappears during
the
fight. And definitely grab any health that shows up. Keep working him over
with
the Windblade and Magma Cannon and you'll be the Starbearer before you can say
Ringling Brothers.
Patrick Scott: The Beast King
-aka Peter Criss
Earth Realm
Mission 1: Earth Rift
Earth Realm begins in the Roadhouse, as did the Water Realm. However, here you
start in the attic and venture out into its surroundings, which look nothing
like
those you saw in Pain Plaza.
First things first, run ahead and to the left. There across the metal I-beam
are
the Beast Claws. Grab the Pamphlet and reenter the main room. Smash the two
wooden crates in the doorway to obtain the Hawk Eyes and Magma Cannon. Head
back
to where you first started.
Smash through the wooden planks and "use" the skulls along this passage to
reveal
Black Diamonds. Grab the Health Flasks and kill the Stumps that attack. Grab
the items in the next room, kill the Blademaster and Gasbags that appear and
approach the fire in the drum.
Leap off the drum onto the footing of the column. Then squat down and jump
onto
the ledge. It will hurt for a moment, but if you're secret hunting, then suck
it
up and deal with it! Grab the ammo to your left.
Head down the path through the wooden door. Blast the Spawner on the ledge
below
the opening and drop down to reach the Rose. A quick glance towards the ceiling
reveals a couple of hooks that you will undoubtedly grapple to later on.
Exit the room through the door below. To the right is a locked gate so head
left. Blast away at the Gasbags, Stumps, and Headless and grab the ammo around
the corner. Under the platform, behind the skirt of seaweed are a couple of
Jack-
in-the-Boxes. Follow the stream ahead to the Blademaster on the rocks. Once
you
dispose of him turn and blast the crates to your left. Enter the room and
dispose of the Gasbags and Stumps that attempt to defend their turf. Turn on
the
jukebox to hear that rock smash "Unholy" while you climb the spiraling steps to
a
Rose and a Jack-in-the-Box. Grab the ammo that appears when the song is through
playing. Also, the drum opposite the jukebox rewards you with some ammo if
you "use" it.
Drop down onto the walkway across the yard. Destroy the Spawners to the right
and smash through the boards to the right of it. Collect the numerous diamonds
and the Pamphlet; then head to the back to find several Health Flasks. Leave
the small passage and follow the walkway towards the Spawner across the yard.
Behind the large stack of crates is an ammo jackpot. Jump out of the ditch and
resupply. Jump across the large gap ahead and pick up any health or ammo you
need. Return to the gap and carefully jump onto the landing below. One wrong
step and it's the eternal abyss you'll be falling into so be careful. Kill the
Gasbags and head down to the marble floored area ahead.
Clear the vicinity of Strutters and Stumps and follow the wooden ramp up to the
balcony and flip the lever open the gate below. A plethora of Headless come
cascading down off the rough. Switch to the Beast Claws and jump down and enjoy
the gib fest your about to have. As soon as you eliminate the last Headless,
head through the gate and follow the path to the Scourge. On the way you will
encounter Gasbags, a Ballbuster, and several Strutters so be ready.
With the Scourge in hand, your character reminds you that you can now get back
into the Roadhouse. But before you go, how about we add the Windblade to your
arsenal?
Above the ramp you climbed to flip the lever is a branch jutting out of the
rocks. Grapple to it and land on the roof of the building. Grab the Diamonds
and round the bend to take on a Unipsycho. Knock him off the roof and grab the
weapon in the corner. The skull will reveal a trail of Health Vials for you to
collect.
Jump back down to the ground and follow the path back up into the large pit that
you jumped down into. High above on the side of the building is a hook you can
grapple to. From there jump down to the right (facing the building) and circle
around to the entrance to the Roadhouse.
You can plainly see the items on top of the containers near the concrete step.
Less obvious is the hook on the corner of the building across from them.
Grapple
up and jump on to the containers. Collect the goods and jump off.
Two grapples and a short walk will place you right back in the attic of the
Roadhouse.
Use the Scourge to land yourself near the Key as well as some Health Flasks.
Also, be sure to "use" the skull on the post to grab another Black Diamond.
With
the Key in your possession its time to get to that locked gate. Kill off the
crazed monsters that attack in the attack and head all the way to the left.
Ok, this one you have to cheat to get to. Many people have tried to get it
without cheating and it all ended up the same . . . you have to turn off the
clipping. If you stand near the post where you grappled up to get the key
and "fly" out of the hole in the roof to the left you will unlock a Secret. Fly
around to the front of the building to gather up all the Black Diamonds.
Without
the Boots, which you will not have until the next area, this Secret is
unreachable by jumping.
Whether you stayed grounded or were playing Mary Poppins at this point, get back
into the attic and head to the right. Step out onto the exposed beam to grab an
Angel Charm and jump off into the water below.
Circle around the building to your right and open the gate with the Key. Whip
the Strutters into oblivion and enter the building. The skull on the wall will
give up three Diamonds but also a couple Strutters appear. As you round the
bend
a pile of Stumps bust through the wall from a Spawner in the corner. Blast them
all to hell and head out of the building and onto the long walkway. Stumps and
Headless will appear from above, as will a Blademaster around the corner. Every
time you retrace these steps, these enemies reemerge.
As you continue up the stone path, a large tremor occurs. This, of course, does
not bode well for you. An army of assorted evil breaks through the wall at the
top of the hill and wastes no time trying to stop your progress. If that wasn't
bad enough, Stumps attack from behind. Keep moving and firing. Take out the
Sumps and Strutters first. Chances are some of your shots will blow apart the
Headless as well. That whole two birds with one Magma Cannon idea.
After killing off the last participants in that ambush, walk over to the corner
where the wall slopes down to the base of the rocks. Jump up and over the wall
and into the Secret area. Here, large quantities of Jack-in-the-Boxes and Black
Diamonds can be found.
Climb over the fallen wall and continue on. Strongman makes his debut in grand
fashion, busting down the wall on the left. That whole bigger they are the
harder they, umm never mind, just unload on him. When he smacks those weights
to
the ground, not getting hit is as simple as jumping rope. Leap over the
shockwave and hit him again. Grab the Health in the corner and head inside to
the exit.
You were just about to grab the Boots when you were interrupted. It was likely
due to a tremor, a quake, a seismic event. You get the point. Well, don't
fret,
the Boots are right in front of you when you start this area. Now with the
mystical power of "ups" so few gamers possess, you can leap onto the ledge and
tackle the Spawner and numerous Gasbags in the area directly ahead.
Continue on down the path till you come face to face with the Strongman. A few
Stumps attack as well, which sometimes results in a comical scene. Apparently
we
players aren't the only ones to get pissed at those little fire-breathing
demons. Strongman will occasionally turn towards the Stump and drop those meaty
weights of his right down on top of it. You almost hate to kill him when this
happens.
Move ahead to the edge of the cliff. Straight across, at an equal elevation, is
a Ballbuster. Kill him and then use the Scourge to grapple across the chasm via
the branch on the right. Kill the Spawner and the Headless that are there, all
the while trying to dodge the cannonballs that rain down from above. Another
Ballbuster is way above you to the right (looking back at the pit). From a
crouched position on the first step in front of the Spawner you can kill him
with
the Scourge without getting hit. Jump up the steps and forge ahead.
The open area ahead has a Spawner on the ledge and an army of Stumps and
Headless
on the ground with you. Blast the Spawner right off the bat with the Windblade
and then start cracking that whip. Use the branch to grapple onto the ledge and
enter the cave.
Exit the cave and battle through the throngs of Headless up the hill to the
Spawner. Grab the Diamonds on your right and then make a dash across the narrow
land bridge. To your left, across the pit is another Ballbuster. You can reach
him with the Scourge. Hit, and strafe, hit and strafe. Turn and get the items
then continue on. You're almost there.
Smash the Stump around the corner and grab the goods. Further up the trail you
will be locked into a fight with a new enemy, the Tickler. Yes, that's right,
the creature with the absurdly long tongue is called the Tickler. Anyway,
beware
the red rays that emit from their mouth and definitely don't get near them.
They
bite hard! Bust out the Magma Cannon and blast them to hell. Slaughter the
Headless and Stumps that try to get you and then leap into the hole in the
center
of the area. You're outta here!
Grab the items and move onward to the concrete wall. Stand back and blast the
two drums to explode the wall to pieces. As you do this, the truck stuck in the
whole above lets loose a swarm of enemies including a Blademaster. Stand your
ground and blast them as they enter the small area you are in. Strafing and
firing the Magma Cannon or cracking the Scourge should see you through it in one
piece.
Standing at the exit of the building, go left and enter that cave first. Gather
up the Black Diamonds and the ammo and then step onto the stone carving. This
will slightly lower a rock spire, triggering the release of a Tickler. Strafe
side to side behind the rock tower in the center while you blast it with the
Magma Cannon. Head back out the cave, killing the minions that attack on the
way.
Now hit the cave to the right of the building entrance, opposite where you just
were. Follow the tunnel down to a large opening and make almost a complet
U-turn
into the first cave on the left. Destroy the Spawner and the rest of the
enemies
in the area and then head to the large cave across the way. To the right is the
Zero Cannon. Do an about face and follow this cave to a second stone carving on
the floor. Once again, stepping onto it triggers a the lowering of a stone
column and the release of a Tickler. Off him and then head back the way you
came.
Now its time to hit the cave straight ahead. Run straight ahead into the
opening
on the right of a building and turn around and shut down the Spawner on the
ledge. Kill the Headless and Gasbag that attacks and gradually make your way
around the corner of the building. An Arachniclown is on the second floor of
the
building. Aim the Windblade just under him from the distance and you'll best
him
easily. Enter the room on the left, grab the ammo and grapple onto the upper
floor where you immediately have to dispatch two Stumps.
Collect the goods from the side rooms, and then head to the stairs on the right.
Before heading up the stairs, check the alcove to the left. There, under the
steps is this easily spotted Rose, masquerading as a Secret.
Ascend the stairs and clear the area above of the enemy. Grapple to the hook
above the steps to drop yourself down on the other side of the debris. Run down
the steps first to get the items there and then run up and jump the gap onto the
rocks ahead. A couple of Spawners and their offspring and a Ballbuster are all
that remain before you leave the Earth Rift mission.
Morbid Manor kicks off outside the mansion where you must still deal with
frequent earthquakes and bottomless pits. Grab the ammo from the rocks to your
left and inch forward along the ledge. Jump over to grab the Jack-in-the-Box on
the right and then set your sights on the Ballbuster on the roof ahead. From
under the land bridge you can take him out without ever getting seen. Once you
do, turn around and take out the two Gasbags that attack your blind side.
Move ahead to the left of the building where there is a large supply of ammo for
you to collect. Of course, where there's ammo, there's usually things to use it
on. Two dozen Headless come running towards you. Mow them down and head around
the front of the building via series of ledges you must jump to.
Behind the door ahead is a Tickler, just waiting for you to come in. Blast him
with the Magma Cannon or Windblade and follow the path around to the Spawner.
Two Gasbags rise out of the chasm in the center of the area, while a constant
stream of Headless coming marching down the hill from another Spawner out of
sight at the moment. Try and avoid the Headless while you shoot the Gasbags and
then put on the Beast Claws and slash your way up the hill to the Spawner.
Gather the items on the ledge to the right.
Turn and shoot at the wall of the building you just walked past on the ledge.
The wall will crumble revealing an Angel Charm to you. Run off the ledge and
into the room.
Head back around the large pit to the hole in the wall. While still invincible
charge the Spawner and Unipsycho to the left. Once you put them away head back
to the break in the wall. You can collect the ammo from the top of the wall by
jumping onto the broken blocks adjacent to the rocks near the pit. Stock up and
head on around the right side of the Manor. Use the Scourge to pop the Gasbag
from a distance. Ahead on the second level is a Ballbuster, and on the third, a
Spawner. Use the Windblade and take out the Spawner before fully rounding the
corner. Then set your sights on the Ballbuster. Fire about 4 shots real quick
and cross your fingers. If he's still kicking, then you'll have to get closer.
Begin towards the gargoyles and climb the ladder to your left. Collect the
goods
and kill the Headless that approach. Ahead is another ladder. Climb this one
to
find a Rose behind the Spawner you destroyed moments ago. Return to the ground
level and grab the ammo to the left of the ramp.
Follow the ledge on the right side of the ramp. Kill the Fat Lady as quick as
possible for two Spawners are sending an army at you as we speak. The Headless
Spawner is down the path to the left, whereas the Stump Spawner is up the rock
incline and to the left. Collect the ammo and Health Flasks and go for the
Stump
Spawner last. As you draw near it, another earthquake collapses the wall
allowing another dozen or so Headless to attack from yet another Spawner.
Jump onto the blocks jutting out of the wall to reach the landing above. Drop
down onto the small ledge on the left and follow it around to grab the items.
Return to where you came and jump down onto the ground. As you make your way
across the bridge an Arachniclown and a bunch of Headless attack. Kill them
off,
being careful not to fall into the abyss. Approach the sinister looking
building
ahead. The lever to open a nearby gate is to the left, however, be certain to
shoot out the lamps to collect some ammo for your Zero Cannon. Jump down off
the
bridge to the land below and follow the path you took when you began the mission
back to the Manor.
From the bridge, jump across the gap onto the large sidewalk around the
building
to the right. Follow this ledge/walkway around to the rear of the building
where
you'll find a Secret Pamphlet. Jump back to the bridge.
From the bridge, jump to the small piece of land just below where you earlier
grabbed the ammo. Make your way to the Health Flask ahead and then follow the
path to the gate on the right.
There is a Spawner just beyond the gate to the left and one in the next area at
the top of the stairs. Also in the next area is a Unipsycho. Put them all away
and collect the ammo before climbing the stairs. Jump off the railing onto the
rooftop across the way to collect the Health if you need it and then enter the
garage through the doorway at the top of the stairs.
Put a hole in the Headless and Gasbag and then begin your sweep of the area,
gathering up the ammo and health. On each of the beams sticking out from the
loft over the ground level are Black Diamonds, be sure to grab them. From atop
the crates you can make life easier by blasting the Spawner downstairs before it
even becomes a nuisance.
Climb to the top of the tallest pile of crates and jump onto the beams near the
ceiling. Stay crouched and make your way across the beams and around the posts
to the rear of the room. There you will find two Jack-in-the-Boxes hiding
secretively.
Round the bend in the loft and kill the Spawner. Jump over the railing and race
to the back to grab the Key. Another Spawner appears, as does a Fat Lady. Put
them away and then climb the ladder to use the Key in the door at the other end.
Slash your way through the Headless and Fat Lady here to the tunes of "Rock and
Roll all Night" then jump down into the hole in the center of the floor.
More Headless will attack as you land. Wipe them out and head through the door.
Watch in horror as that bastard Ballbuster blows your ride to smithereens. He
and the two dozen Headless you have to contend with will surely pay. Use the
Zero Cannon and strafe like mad. By using this faster firing gun, you can mow
down the Headless while aiming at the Ballbuster.
Use the Scourge to grapple to the hook above the hole in the floor. There, on
the beam, is a Rose. You likely need it at this point. Drop a Jack-in-the-Box
onto the Headless at the bottom of the pit and jump down and exit the area.
Begin by heading up the stairs past the two Stumps. The door is locked but can
be unlocked by flipping the lever to the right. Enter the kitchen. The door
immediately to the left of where you came in has a Key. Grab it and blast away
at the Gasbags and Headless that guard the area.
The open room to the left has a Spawner in it. Get in there and destroy it.
Head back to the kitchen and use the key to unlock the door in the corner to the
left. You're now entering the storage area where Fat Lady resides. Put her
away
and flip the lever. The door to the dining room opens, but of a more immediate
concern to you are the tens of Headless that just popped out of the freezers.
Kick their asses and grab the ammo from the freezers. Leave the room.
Head back to the small room where the Spawner was. The door is now open to the
dining room of the mansion. Rush in with guns blazing for a Ballbuster is
waiting for you there.
Collect the ammo and Health Flask from around the room and be sure to grab the
Key off of the mantle.
In the chimney of the unlit fireplace is a hook you can grapple to. Do so if a
Rose and a Secret are of interest to you.
Use the Key to open the door across the room and grab the Belt in the hallway.
Head to the right first, grab the Key from the painting the Strutters jump out
of
and smash the Spawner to the right. Head back down the other end of the hallway
and open the last door on the right. Kill the Gasbags that attack and crawl
through the unlit fireplace to the sitting room on the other side. Grab the
ammo
and health and blast away at the Gasbags. Reenter the fireplace and climb the
ladder to your left to access the ductwork.
As you may expect, there's not a lot of room for moving around. And that's a
shame for you're about to encounter hordes of enemies here. Head to the right
first off. Forge your way to the long drop and jump in. This will land you
back
in the stairs where you began the mission.
Head up to the kitchen and notice that the middle cupboard is now open and
contains a Rage Orb. Repeat this circle once more to find the third cupboard
open with a Blood Rose in it. (the first cupboard could be opened by you
manually and contains nothing).
Head back to the chimney and climb up into the vents one more time. This time
battle your way through the Stumps to the left. Grab the Pamphlet and continue
to the end. When you reach the "T" pick up the flask on your right and then
drop
down to the lower vent on the left. Crush the Headless and destroy the Spawner
in the first passage to the right. Climb the ladder and go to the right. Beat
down the Stumps, pick up the health and head back. Jump onto the ledge to grab
the Diamonds and then begin to work your way down the other end of the tunnel.
Jump down to the lower level, kill the Gasbags and continue to the left. Jump
down again and kill yet another Gasbag. Head to the right, go down again past
more Gasbags and Stumps and continue on in this manner until you reach a small
brick area.
Shoot at the off-colored bricks in the wall to the left. They will crumble
away
revealing another Rose for you HP replenishing enjoyment.
The door at the top of the steps is actually a painting on the wall of another
sitting area (the rich don't have living rooms, they have sitting areas). Bust
on in, kick some freaky behind and grab the Hawk Eyes off the mantle, among
other
assorted treats. Leave the room through the door in the corner.
Battle your way past the Fat Lady and the Spawner to the large double doors at
the end of the hall. Alas, the library! Isn't it nice and calm? Until you
grab
the Key off of the table, that is. Then all hell breaks loose. Put on those
Beast Claws and start swinging. Beware of the plasma traps lining the wall and
listen for the chime to signal your ability to leave.
Use the Key in the door to the left as you exit. This will put you in a
stairwell with a Spawner at the top, among other evils. Grab the items from the
base of the stairs, kill the Spawner and enter the upstairs of the library.
Gasbags, Ballbusters, a Spawner, and Headless try to prevent you from getting
the
Key up here. Take them all out, gather up the goods, and approach the door you
entered through.
To the left of the entrance is a "KISSTORY" book sticking out of the bookshelf.
Use the book to trigger a secret area to open behind a bookshelf on the adjacent
wall. There you will find the next Key, as well as a much-needed Blood Rose.
Proceed to the other end of the hallway with the Key in hand. Use it to open
the
double doors. Here, in this room of rooms, will you face numerous Spawners, two
Arachniclowns, and oodles of Headless. Quicksaving before entering is a good
idea to say the least.
After you put away all the enemies climb the stairs to the balcony and
carefully
jump to the railing and from there to the ledge where the Spirit Lance is.
Make your back to the balcony and out the double doors marked Exit.
This area of the mansion resembles a museum. Enter the first display room
through the door on the left. The cases with ordinary items like health and
ammo
can be busted open but those containing special items have to be unlocked.
Take out the Spawners and the Blademaster and head around the wall to the next
room. Here, a Ballbuster will join the fracas. Take him out too and leave the
room through the door.
The third painting of the band members on the left wall of the first room you
entered has a secret area behind it containing a Blood Rose. Don't kill the
Spawner at the end of the hall right away. Keep slugging away at Stumps until
you hear the chime and run back quickly to get it.
The second door you come to in the hallway, the first on the left, will open.
Arm yourself with your new toy, the Spirit Lance, and proceed to enter. On the
floor, in perfect synchronization, is an army of over twenty Headless. Also in
the room is a Fat Lady and a Spawner. Use the Spirit Lance to even the playing
table and then switch to your other weapons to finish them off. Upon the
destruction of the Spawner a trap door on the stage opens. Before you leave,
grab the Diamonds that are behind each of the statues along the right wall.
Once in the crawlspace you will be faced with Gasbags, Stumps, and Headless.
Head to the right, checking all of the nooks and crannies for Health and ammo.
Stay to the right as you make your way ahead. Climb the ladder to emerge in the
display case with the Heart Orb. Descend back down and go around the wall, past
the Spawner and up the stairs to the bathroom.
Continue your path of destruction through the bath, stopping to get the ammo
from
the tub. Enter the bedroom, kill the creatures there, and use the Scourge to
grapple onto the canopy of the bed for mondo ammo. Jump down and approach the
dresser opposite the bed. It will open to reveal a Blood Rose for you.
Another sitting room (these people must be really, really rich) with two
Ticklers
and a Spawner. Kill the Ticklers to access the Key on the table. Grab the
Diamonds from the bookshelf as well as the Pamphlet from above the bookshelf in
the corner. In case you weren't paying attention, the Key will unlock the
display case housing the Vest and another Key back in the room you entered
earlier.
Head back the way you came via the crawlspace. When you climb the ladder into
the room with the statues, a Strongman will bust through the far wall. Kill him
to open the door and reenter the hallway. Go to the right to use the Key in the
locked display case.
Now that you have the Vest and another Key head back into the hallway and
proceed
to unlock the doors on the right at the very end of the hall. A couple of
Spawners with their associated Stumps and Headless will greet you along with a
Ballbuster. Chop them down with the Magma Cannon and follow the right wall
around to the lever in the back.
The large pieces of heating equipment have a Hawk Eyes resting on them next to
the lever. Walk up the ramp on the other side to sneak around the ledge to pick
it up.
Jump down and flip the lever. Make your way around to the other side of the
area
and climb the stairs. Slice your way through the army of Headless and into the
large room above. Three Unipsychos roll across the beams above while you deal
with the Headless on the ground. Use the Magma Cannon or the Scourge to put out
the Unipsychos and then head to the large pile of crates near the lever on the
wall.
Unfortunately collecting all the goodies on the above beams is not that easy.
Just getting onto them is a difficult task. Start by shooting the breakable
crate amongst the impenetrable ones near the lever. Inside this crate is a
smaller one you will use to get on top of the pile of crates. And from there
onto the beams. Carefully crawl from beam to beam to collect the Rose over the
entrance.
Jump back down and flip the lever on the rear wall. A double door near the
stairs you came up will open and several Ballbusters attack at once. Collect
the
ammo from the large room and enter the newly opened stairwell with the Spawner.
Climbing the steps to the Looking Glass will require you to move quickly,
outrunning the plasma traps, jumping the missing boards, and eliminating Stumps.
Keep climbing and the Morbid Manor will be conquered.
Mission 3: Unholy Ground
Ahh, the requisite graveyard mission. Let's get to it. Kill the Gasbags and
Stumps and do a walk of the perimeter of the area. Go to the left behind each
of
the tombs on the hill to collect some ammo and health.
Shoot the wooden marker on the third coffin on the left. This will trigger the
door of the small tomb on the right to open, revealing a Heart Orb.
Then approach the small mausoleum to the right of the large gate. A Ballbuster
will meet you at the door, as will several other lesser creatures. Slay them
all
and take the ammo inside.
Walk through the red screen at the back of the room near the ammo to find a
Secret area containing a Blood Rose.
Open the gate and kill the Headless that attack.
Grapple to the branch directly overhead. Jump down onto the ledge containing
the
Rage Orb to pick up this secret. While you're up here, jump across to the top
of
the wall to pick up a Pamphlet on the left.
Backpedal down the hill for Headless are going to jump you from behind. Take
them out and then send a devastating blow at the Spawner in the distance.
