- Теперь как Hoagie -
- Подойдите к дому и войдите в него.Откройте grandfather clock и отдайте -
- план батареи Red Edison.Он скажет вам что ему нужно,чтобы построить ба- -
- тарею. Всс что ему нужно-это GOLD,OIL и VINEGAR, что в переводе на рус- -
- ский значит ЗОЛОТО,МАСЛО и УКСУС. -

- КАК HАЙТИ ЗОЛОТО ? -

- Вместо золота вам предстоит взять золотое перо. Как это сделать? -

- Возьмите letter (письмо) из mailbox (почтового ящика) рядом с домом и -
- отдайте его BERNARD. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ СHОВА КАК BERNARD. В main hall откройте на полу grating (решстку) -
- и загоните туда кусающиеся челюсти, не забудте взять их. Hа вторм этаже -
- откройте дверь с буквой R, возле автомата (candy mashine). Загляните в -
- нес и дайте Dwayn письмо. Возьмите flag gun в его комнате и поменяйте -
- его в main hall на cigar lighter. Поговорите с cigar saleman (Вопросы -
- 2,1) и он даст вам cigar. Отдайте всс что вы получили Hoagie. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК HOAGIE. Дайте cigar George Washington. Дайте ему челюсти. -
- Возьмите одеяло (Blanket) с пола. Сходите на крышу и закройте им дымо- -
- ход. Спуститесь вниз и возьмите перо (gold-plated quill pen) со стола. -

- на чердаке и покрасьте ей дерево (kumquat tree) около Chron-o-John. Вой- -
- дите в дом и поговорите с George Washington (диалог 1,1,2,2 , если вы не -
- спрашивали его раньше; 2,2 , если уже успели что-то спросить). -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК LAVERNE. Скажите охране что вы больны (диалог 3) и возьмите в -
- комнате врача выкройку (tentacle chart). Попытайтесь выйти из дома. Вас -
- поймают и посадят в тюрьму. Используйте диалог 2 и отдайте выкройку -
- Hoagie. ТЕПЕРЬ КАК BERNARD.Залезайте на крышу и возьмите crank. Отдайте -
- crank Lavrne -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК LAVERNE. Зайдите в тюрьму и используйте диалог 3. Залезайте -
- на крышу (через дымоход (fireplace)). Используйте crank с crank box. -
- Опустите флаг (flag) и возьмите его. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК HOAGIE. Поднимитесь на второй этаж и используйте выкройку с -
- чертежом (patterns) в одной из комнат. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК LAVERNE. Используйте костюм колпака. -
- !!! ТЕПЕРЬ ВЫ МОЖЕТЕ ХОДИТЬ ПО ВСЕМУ ДОМУ !!! -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК HOAGIE. Дайте открывалку (can-opener) Laverne. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК LAVERNE. Поднимитесь наверх и используйте открывалку с time -
- capsule , в первой двери. Возьмите из time capsule vinegar и дайте его -
- Hoagie. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК HOAGIE. Отдайте все составляющие Red Edison. Возьмите батарею -
- (battery) с полки. -

- Hу вот вы сделали super-battery. Hо у вас возникли новые проблемы: ес -
- нужно зарядить! Как это сделать!? -

- В комнате на кухне откройте cabinet и возьмите оттуда щстку (brush). В -
- той же комнате возьмите ведро (bucket) и используйте его на кухне с во- -
- докачкой (water pump). Hа втором этаже в первой комнате используйте кро- -
- вать (George's bed), а затем версвку (cord) на стене. Выйдите из комнаты -
- и возьмите мыло (soap). Исполизуйте мыло с полным ведром воды (все две -
- вещи у вас уже есть). Выйдите на улицу и используйте щстку с каретой -
- (carriage). -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК BERNARD. Возьмите картон с надписью (help-wanted sign) на ок- -
- не, рядом с дверью выхода. Дайте ес Hoagie. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК HOAGIE. Дайте картонку Red edison и возьмите пальто (lab -
- coat) со стены. Отдайте пальто Ben Franklin на втором этаже в третьей -
- комнате. Когда у вас в руках будет змей используйте battery с ним, а ко- -
- гда Franklin скажет NOW!, толкните змея. Возьмите заряженую батарею с -
- земли. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК LAVERNE. Поднимитесь на второй этаж и войдите во вторую ком- -
- нату. Используйте роликовые коньки (roller skates) с мумией (mummy). -
- Толкните мумию. Спуститесь вниз и поговорите с синим колпаком, он даст -
- вам карточку (name tag). Используйте карточку с мумией. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК BERNARD. Поднимитесь наверх. Используйте выключатель (on/off -
- button) на проигрывателе (stereo). Толкните колонку (speaker) в середине -
- комнаты. Используйте выключатель чтобы прекратить музыку. Идите вниз и -
- возмите блевотину (fake barf) и дайте ес Laverne. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК LAVERNE. Идите наверх мимо комнат и увидите вашу мумию с лю- -
- дьми. Используйте блевотину с Harold. Дайте скальпель (scalpel) Bernard. -
- ТЕПЕРЬ КАК BERNARD. Используйте скальпель с клоуном (Oozo the Clown) и -

- этаж и возьмите видеокасету (videotape) в третьей комнате.Во второй ком- -
- нате возьмите бесцветные чернила (disappearing ink) и используйте их с -
- альбомом марок (stamp album) в комнате Ed Edison. Возьмите марку (stamp) -

- версвку. Hа кухне возьмите обычный кофе (coffee) и воронку (funnel) в -

COMPLETE SOLUTION
1. Part
Go into the office and take all you can find ("Swiss bankbook",
"Booboo-B-Gone") and open the "portrait". Go back to the lobby and take
the "flier" out of the rack (lower left corner) and the "dime" from the
pay-phone. Now take the "Help-Wanted sign" and go to the grandfather clock.
Open it and enter Freds secret lab.
2. Part
After some short but funny sequence, you stand in front of yer
Chron-O-John. Go to the very right of the screen. Right of the
Hamstergenerator is some paper hanging on the bulletinboard. Take it!
Now correct the plan.
3. Part
Now you`ve got HOAGIE as a new character to controll. You can pass items to
any other character by simply clicking on the item and then on the head of
the person you wanna pass it to... now back to the solution. First, ya have
to go into the inn. When you`ve entered the inn, go through the big double
doors right at the entrance. The room you`ve entered now will be refered to
as "main hall" to eliminate the use of maps. Now walk through the swinging
door. Reaching the kitchen, ya take the "oil" and the "spaghetti" from the
pantry and go through door on the right. Pickup the bucket and the brush,
which is in the cabinet. No, back in the kitchen, use the bucket with the
water-pump to get a "bucket full of water". Leave the kitchen. Now use the
fireplace to get to the roof. Squeeze yerself through the FIRST window.
Now, how bad, we want to rob the mouse. To do that, you sit on the bed in
the left, lower corner of the room. After discovering the "squeaky matress"
you simply use it with the other bed. Enjoy the sequence...
Well, it seems as if we didn`t solve anything with that, but now use the
upper, right bed and when the cat walks to you, pick up the mouse. The last
thing to do is to take the bucket with the red paint. Now go through the
trapdoor. We now find ourselves in the 2. floor of the inn. Swap to
Bernard, by clicking on his face, and flush the textbook to hoagie.
Now how about sending this stupid horse to sleep ? Swap to Hoagie and read
the textbook to it. Take the horses dentures and walk down the stairway.
Open the first door and take the bottle of wine. This is Ben`s room. We
leave to open the second door. This is Betsy`s room. We leave to open the
third door. As you can read on the sign, George sleeps here. Well, how
about embarassing the roommaid. Use George`s bed and then pull the rope
next to the door. Outside the room, the maid has dumped her cart. Take the
soap which is lying in it and use it with the bucket full of water. Down we
go on the stairs. Open the grandfather clock and enter the secret lab of
Red Edison. Give him the patent application and the oil. Now get the
help-wanted sign from Bernard and give it to him to get the lab coat. Pick
it up. Go to the main hall and give the wine to Thomas Jefferson. Get the
flier from Bernard and put it in the suggestion box. Go to the outhouses,
paint the kumquat-tree red and then talk to George. Tell him that he has
lost his ability to cut down cherrie trees. We`ve "freed" Laverne but we
stay with hoagie for the moment. Next thing is to wash the carriage in
front of the inn by using the brush on it. Next, to up to Ben`s room and
give him the lab coat. On the field, push the kite into the air. When Ben
asks, say him that you want to reconsider the situation in yer lab. Walk to
Red`s secret lab and take the left-handed hammer hanging to his left. Go to
the horse and open the door on the left side. Use the left-handed with the
right-handed hammer and enjoy the sequence. Now give the red paint to
Bernard and switch to him. Go to the lobby and then, through the double
doors, into the party-room. Open the grating next to the fireplace, walk to
the right and maneuver the chattering teeth into the grating. Pick `em up
and pass them to Hoagie. Go through the swinging door into the kitchen and
pickup : the fork on the table, the decaf coffee and the coffee. Open the
right door and go into the wash room. Open the cabinet and take the funnel.
Again, we take a ride through the fireplace. Pickup the crank and go
through the second window. Leave the room through the door on the right and
open the trapdoor. Go down. You now have a door to the left and one to the
right. Go through the left door and push Edna. The door on the right leads
to Weird Ed`s room. Take the hamster and leave. Go down the

Leave. Third door. After entering the room, close the door and take the
keys, then leave. Go down the stairs and take the fake barf which fell of
the ceiling (for the germans, fake barf means "falsche Kotze"). Open the
left door and go outside. Paint Ted red and go to the parking lot. Give the
keys to the man with the skimask. Reenter the house and use the crowbar on
the "gum with dime stuck in it". Chew it. Go to Fred`s secret lab and give
him some decaf. Push the lever. Leave. Go to Edna`s surveilance room and
use the videotape in the vcr. Look at the monitor. Push the red
record-button (WARNING! The SP/EP-Switch has to be on SP!!!!) when Fred
just has closed the safe. Rewind it, switch to ep and watch it again. Leave
the monitor by clicking on the screen. Leave Edna`s room and go to Weird
Ed. Squisch some Ink on his stamps and enjoy his torture (smile). Pick up
the book and the stamp and return his favourite past-time to him. Go down
the stairway and into the third room (the one with the fat customer
sleeping in the heard-shaped bed). Insert the two dimes into the little
silver box in the right corner of the room. Take the sweater. Leave. Go to
the candy machine and use the crowbar to get its quarters. Pick them up. Go
down to the office and open the safe. Take the contract and go to the
washroom. Throw the sweater into the dryer and insert the quarters. Take
the fireplace to get to the roof and enter the second window. Untie Fred
and take the rope outside. Use it with the pulley. Go down the chimney, out
of the house and use the rope with red Ted. Go back up to the roof and pull
the rope. Again, go up to the roof and enter the room. Use Ted with Fred.
Use rope with Doctor Fred. Go to the roof, pull the rope and laugh. Use
funnel with Fred. Use coffee with funnel. Laugh. Give the contract to him.
Now give the following answers : 4, 4. Stamp the contract, give it to
Hoagie. Hoagie inserts it into the Mailbox and YIEEEHAAA! off goes the pony
express... Now search a phone (with Bernard of course) and order the
diamond. Lets have some fun and steal George Washingtons teeth, shall we ?
Well, go to the party-room and exchange the flag-gun with the cigar
lighter. Talk to the party animal (the fat guy) and ask him for a cigar.
Now, send the lighter and the cigar to hoagie and do the "exploding cigar"
gag on george by giving him the cigar. What an exploding fun! To easy his
pain, give him the chattering teeth as a reward. Take the blanket and go to
the roof (NOT through the chimney this time... sorry...). Stuff the chimney
with the blanket and hurry down to the main hall and take the gold-plated
quill pen. Off it goes to Red Edison (remember? : The secret lab in the
grandfather clock). Nor aft nor stern, its time for Laverne. Well, swap to
this little cutie (watch her walk !).
Talk to the tentacle-guard and tell him, you feel kinda ill. In the doctors
romm, take the tentacle chart. Leave the room and go through the big door
in the back wall. Now go to the kennel. Talk again to the guard and tell
him, ya need to go to the toilet. Give the tentacle chart to hoagie and
swap to Bernard. No give the following things to Laverne : fake barf,
crank, fork and Booboo-B-Gone. Hoagie gives her : dentures, mouse,
can-opener and the spaghettis. Hoagie himself goes to Betsy`s room and uses
the tentacle-chart with the patterns to provide Laverne with a disguise.
Laverne send her skalpel to Bernard who uses it to blast Oozo the Clown.
This "murder" reveals a box o`laughs which is to be send directly to
Laverne. Laverne, for her part, decides to go back into the jail. There,
she tells the tentacle that she is not feeling so well. Arrived in the
doctor`s room, she goes out and jumps into the fireplace. Put the crank on
the crank-box and winds down the "flag" which is to be used imediately.
After a glance through the window, she finds her way down the chimney. Next
to the fireplace is standing a blue tentacle. TALK to it. This rook has 3
doors. The left one leads to the lobby. The right one to the kitchen and
the one in front is, as you know, the kennel. Go into the kitchen and
continue your way through the right door to the washroom. Take the tiny
sweater and leave. Go through the lobby and up the stairs. Open the ice
machine and take the frozen hamster. Go back to the kitchen and PUT IT IN
THE MICROWAVE! This poor little fella looks sooo wet and soggy... give the
warming sweater to him (I mean, USE it on him). Now back up the stairs and
the first door is our destination (for better orientation, there is a W
next to it on a plaque). Open the time capsule with the can opener and send
the vinegar to hoagie. Leave. Second door. Take the extension cord and the
roller skates. Let`s activate some old mummy now. Use the skates on the
mummy. Go down and use the "my name is" tag on the mummy. Now run up the
stairs, past the three doors, up the stairs again and find yourself at the
human show. We have to "prepare" our mummy and eliminate Harold. The humans
are judged by smile, laugh and hair. So we give a smile to our mummy. Use
dentures on mummy. Step aside to look at it. Now the laugh. Take the box
o`laughs and put it in the pocket of the mummy. Last but not least, the
hair. We`ll use the noodles as hair, so put `em on, but because it does not
look soooo good, we give `em some more hold. Use fork with mummy`s head.
Bon appetit. To exclude Harold from the contest, simply drop the fake barf
in front of him. We`re ready. Now go to the right to the highly restricted
judging area and talk to the judges. Ask them to judge the smile, the laugh
and the hair. Congratulations, you`ve won the contest. End the
sentimentality and leave the room. Go down the stairs and out of the house.
The cat is not as easy to catch as it seems. Use the Booboo-B-Gone on the
fence. Now, lure her with the mouse toy. Go inside and back to the kennel.
Give the dinner certificate to the guard, turn off the force field and use
the cat to do some harm. Go back outside to the Chron-O-John and plug it
into the extension cord which you then use with the window. Inside. Lobby.
Open the grandfather clock and enter the old lab. Plug in the extension
cord and use the hamster with the generator. The only problem hits you
right into the face. Now go to the vacuum cleaner and SUCK the little
sucker out of the mouse hole. Now take the dust ball out of the hatch and
use it again in the generator. Now, the only one left is Hoagie. Give the
vinegar to Red Edison (the secret lab guy) and steal the battery. Go out of
the Inn, on the field and meet Ben. Say that you want to try it again and
when he went to the left of the screen, fast use the battery with the kite
and when he says "NOW" push it again. Take the fully charged battery and go
to the outhouses. Plug in yer Chron-O-John and off we go.
4.Part
After that LONG sequence, we find ourselves (this time all of them in one
person ;) ) in the "heart-room". We now go outside and carefully open the
door to the room where the depressive customer was. After "santa" shrunk
us, we run into the room of which we just opened the door and run through
the mousehole. Wait a moment till we get big again and then take the
bowling ball. Open the door and go to the secret lab. Now use the bowling
ball on the purple tentacles. Talk to the old tentacle. Say him, that he is
pretty handy with the gun and that he could not hit his own forehead. Then
ask him about his real opinion about humans. Then answers 3, 2, 1, 3, 1.

you simply use it with the other bed. Enjoy the sequence...
Well, it seems as if we didn`t solve anything with that, but now use the
upper, right bed and when the cat walks to you, pick up the mouse. The last
thing to do is to take the bucket with the red paint. Now go through the
trapdoor. We now find ourselves in the 2. floor of the inn. Swap to
Bernard, by clicking on his face, and flush the textbook to hoagie.
Now how about sending this stupid horse to sleep ? Swap to Hoagie and read
the textbook to it. Take the horses dentures and walk down the stairway.
Open the first door and take the bottle of wine. This is Ben`s room. We
leave to open the second door. This is Betsy`s room. We leave to open the
third door. As you can read on the sign, George sleeps here. Well, how
about embarassing the roommaid. Use George`s bed and then pull the rope
next to the door. Outside the room, the maid has dumped her cart. Take the
soap which is lying in it and use it with the bucket full of water. Down we
go on the stairs. Open the grandfather clock and enter the secret lab of
Red Edison. Give him the patent application and the oil. Now get the
help-wanted sign from Bernard and give it to him to get the lab coat. Pick
it up. Go to the main hall and give the wine to Thomas Jefferson. Get the
flier from Bernard and put it in the suggestion box. Go to the outhouses,
paint the kumquat-tree red and then talk to George. Tell him that he has
lost his ability to cut down cherrie trees. We`ve "freed" Laverne but we
stay with hoagie for the moment. Next thing is to wash the carriage in
front of the inn by using the brush on it. Next, to up to Ben`s room and
give him the lab coat. On the field, push the kite into the air. When Ben
asks, say him that you want to reconsider the situation in yer lab. Walk to
Red`s secret lab and take the left-handed hammer hanging to his left. Go to
the horse and open the door on the left side. Use the left-handed with the
right-handed hammer and enjoy the sequence. Now give the red paint to
Bernard and switch to him. Go to the lobby and then, through the double
doors, into the party-room. Open the grating next to the fireplace, walk to
the right and maneuver the chattering teeth into the grating. Pick `em up
and pass them to Hoagie. Go through the swinging door into the kitchen and
pickup : the fork on the table, the decaf coffee and the coffee. Open the
right door and go into the wash room. Open the cabinet and take the funnel.
Again, we take a ride through the fireplace. Pickup the crank and go
through the second window. Leave the room through the door on the right and
open the trapdoor. Go down. You now have a door to the left and one to the
right. Go through the left door and push Edna. The door on the right leads
to Weird Ed`s room. Take the hamster and leave. Go down the
stairway. First door, push speaker and on/off-Button on stereo. Pickup the
videotape, push button again and leave. Put the hamster into the
ice machine. Swap to Hoagie, go to the front door of the inn and take the
letter out of the mailbox. Give it to Bernard and swap to him. Go to the
second door and open it. The poor sod inside needs some cheering up so give
him the letter. Pick up the flag-gun and the disapearing ink and watch TV.
Leave. Third door. After entering the room, close the door and take the
keys, then leave. Go down the stairs and take the fake barf which fell of
the ceiling (for the germans, fake barf means "falsche Kotze"). Open the
left door and go outside. Paint Ted red and go to the parking lot. Give the
keys to the man with the skimask. Reenter the house and use the crowbar on
the "gum with dime stuck in it". Chew it. Go to Fred`s secret lab and give
him some decaf. Push the lever. Leave. Go to Edna`s surveilance room and
use the videotape in the vcr. Look at the monitor. Push the red
record-button (WARNING! The SP/EP-Switch has to be on SP!!!!) when Fred
just has closed the safe. Rewind it, switch to ep and watch it again. Leave
the monitor by clicking on the screen. Leave Edna`s room and go to Weird
Ed. Squisch some Ink on his stamps and enjoy his torture (smile). Pick up
the book and the stamp and return his favourite past-time to him. Go down
the stairway and into the third room (the one with the fat customer
sleeping in the heard-shaped bed). Insert the two dimes into the little
silver box in the right corner of the room. Take the sweater. Leave. Go to
the candy machine and use the crowbar to get its quarters. Pick them up. Go
down to the office and open the safe. Take the contract and go to the
washroom. Throw the sweater into the dryer and insert the quarters. Take
the fireplace to get to the roof and enter the second window. Untie Fred
and take the rope outside. Use it with the pulley. Go down the chimney, out
of the house and use the rope with red Ted. Go back up to the roof and pull
the rope. Again, go up to the roof and enter the room. Use Ted with Fred.
Use rope with Doctor Fred. Go to the roof, pull the rope and laugh. Use
funnel with Fred. Use coffee with funnel. Laugh. Give the contract to him.
Now give the following answers : 4, 4. Stamp the contract, give it to
Hoagie. Hoagie inserts it into the Mailbox and YIEEEHAAA! off goes the pony
express... Now search a phone (with Bernard of course) and order the
diamond. Lets have some fun and steal George Washingtons teeth, shall we ?
Well, go to the party-room and exchange the flag-gun with the cigar
lighter. Talk to the party animal (the fat guy) and ask him for a cigar.
Now, send the lighter and the cigar to hoagie and do the "exploding cigar"
gag on george by giving him the cigar. What an exploding fun! To easy his
pain, give him the chattering teeth as a reward. Take the blanket and go to
the roof (NOT through the chimney this time... sorry...). Stuff the chimney
with the blanket and hurry down to the main hall and take the gold-plated
quill pen. Off it goes to Red Edison (remember? : The secret lab in the
grandfather clock). Nor aft nor stern, its time for Laverne. Well, swap to
this little cutie (watch her walk !).
Talk to the tentacle-guard and tell him, you feel kinda ill. In the doctors
romm, take the tentacle chart. Leave the room and go through the big door
in the back wall. Now go to the kennel. Talk again to the guard and tell
him, ya need to go to the toilet. Give the tentacle chart to hoagie and
swap to Bernard. No give the following things to Laverne : fake barf,
crank, fork and Booboo-B-Gone. Hoagie gives her : dentures, mouse,
can-opener and the spaghettis. Hoagie himself goes to Betsy`s room and uses
the tentacle-chart with the patterns to provide Laverne with a disguise.
Laverne send her skalpel to Bernard who uses it to blast Oozo the Clown.
This "murder" reveals a box o`laughs which is to be send directly to
Laverne. Laverne, for her part, decides to go back into the jail. There,
she tells the tentacle that she is not feeling so well. Arrived in the
doctor`s room, she goes out and jumps into the fireplace. Put the crank on
the crank-box and winds down the "flag" which is to be used imediately.
After a glance through the window, she finds her way down the chimney. Next
to the fireplace is standing a blue tentacle. TALK to it. This rook has 3
doors. The left one leads to the lobby. The right one to the kitchen and
the one in front is, as you know, the kennel. Go into the kitchen and
continue your way through the right door to the washroom. Take the tiny
sweater and leave. Go through the lobby and up the stairs. Open the ice
machine and take the frozen hamster. Go back to the kitchen and PUT IT IN
THE MICROWAVE! This poor little fella looks sooo wet and soggy... give the
warming sweater to him (I mean, USE it on him). Now back up the stairs and
the first door is our destination (for better orientation, there is a W
next to it on a plaque). Open the time capsule with the can opener and send
the vinegar to hoagie. Leave. Second door. Take the extension cord and the
roller skates. Let`s activate some old mummy now. Use the skates on the
mummy. Go down and use the "my name is" tag on the mummy. Now run up the
stairs, past the three doors, up the stairs again and find yourself at the
human show. We have to "prepare" our mummy and eliminate Harold. The humans
are judged by smile, laugh and hair. So we give a smile to our mummy. Use
dentures on mummy. Step aside to look at it. Now the laugh. Take the box
o`laughs and put it in the pocket of the mummy. Last but not least, the
hair. We`ll use the noodles as hair, so put `em on, but because it does not
look soooo good, we give `em some more hold. Use fork with mummy`s head.
Bon appetit. To exclude Harold from the contest, simply drop the fake barf
in front of him. We`re ready. Now go to the right to the highly restricted
judging area and talk to the judges. Ask them to judge the smile, the laugh
and the hair. Congratulations, you`ve won the contest. End the
sentimentality and leave the room. Go down the stairs and out of the house.
The cat is not as easy to catch as it seems. Use the Booboo-B-Gone on the
fence. Now, lure her with the mouse toy. Go inside and back to the kennel.
Give the dinner certificate to the guard, turn off the force field and use
the cat to do some harm. Go back outside to the Chron-O-John and plug it
into the extension cord which you then use with the window. Inside. Lobby.
Open the grandfather clock and enter the old lab. Plug in the extension
cord and use the hamster with the generator. The only problem hits you
right into the face. Now go to the vacuum cleaner and SUCK the little
sucker out of the mouse hole. Now take the dust ball out of the hatch and
use it again in the generator. Now, the only one left is Hoagie. Give the
vinegar to Red Edison (the secret lab guy) and steal the battery. Go out of
the Inn, on the field and meet Ben. Say that you want to try it again and
when he went to the left of the screen, fast use the battery with the kite
and when he says "NOW" push it again. Take the fully charged battery and go
to the outhouses. Plug in yer Chron-O-John and off we go.
4.Part
After that LONG sequence, we find ourselves (this time all of them in one
person ;) ) in the "heart-room". We now go outside and carefully open the
door to the room where the depressive customer was. After "santa" shrunk
us, we run into the room of which we just opened the door and run through
the mousehole. Wait a moment till we get big again and then take the
bowling ball. Open the door and go to the secret lab. Now use the bowling
ball on the purple tentacles. Talk to the old tentacle. Say him, that he is
pretty handy with the gun and that he could not hit his own forehead. Then
ask him about his real opinion about humans. Then answers 3, 2, 1, 3, 1.

He needs oil, vinegar, and gold; you'll have to provide the
ingredients.
6)How can I get the gold?
You could try to take the pen on the table, but they would catch
you, You'll need to get rid of them, there is a smoke alarm on the
mantle, they seem very concerned about fire.
To start a fire, you'll need Jefferson's log.
7)Jefferson won't fork over the log.
He sure does admire Washington!
If he thought Washington was cold maybe?
8)What would make Washington look cold?
Make his teeth shake so he thought he was cold.
Replace his current false teeth with the chattering teeth
found in the convention hall in Bernard's timeframe.
9)How do I get the chattering teeth?
Open the floor grate by the fireplace, then chase the teeth into the
grate, and pick them up from there.
10)Washington won't take the teeth.
You'll need a cigar to remove those teeth. You have to find a way
to get one from the novelty salesman in the convention hall in
Bernard's time.
11)How do I get the cigar from the salesman?
Sabotage the lighter so he can't use it! You need to switch the flag
gun from Dwayne's room for the lighter gun in the convention hall.
Dwayne's chair (on the door) is in the way; you need to get Dwayne
to leave, so Bernard can grab the gun.
12)How can I get Dwayne to leave?
He is very depressed-he could use some good news. If only someone
admired one of his ideas....Have Hoagie get the letter from the
mailbox and give it to Bernard to give to Dwayne.
13)O.K., I've built a fire, but I still can't get the pen.
You need to block the chimney, but you need something that can be
stuffed into the chimney to keep the smoke in. Use Handcock's
blanket-go up on the roof (through the attic) to do it.
14)Where can I find the oil?
Check the kitchen for the oil.
15)How do I get vinegar?
Start with the bottle of wine in Franklin's room.
Wine turns into vinegar if not properly stored.
Time is the key factor-give it to Jefferson for his time capsule.
16)How do I open the time capsule?
Laverne has to open it in the future after the tentacles dig it up,
now if only Laverne had some way to open a metal canister. Have
Hoagie give Laverne the can opener. Then she can use it in the
Colonial Room to open the time capsule and give Hoagie the vinegar.
17)How do I get Laverne out of the tree and upstairs?
See Laverne's section in this Hint Book.
18)O.K., I've given the battery ingredients to Red, and i've got the battery,
but it still won't work.
Try looking at the battery. You need to get it electriclly charged-
try Franklin's kite.
19)Ben says it's too sunny for his experiment. How can I make it rain?
Wash the carriage with brush, soap and water.
20)I've found the water. Where's the brush and soap?
The brush is in the cabinet in the washroom where you found the
bucket. The soap is on the maid's cart.
21)I still haven't found where the soap is.
You'll need to do something in Washingtons room to make it messy..
Use the bed, pull the sash, then run out in the hall and pick up the
soap off the cart.
22)How can I get Ben to fly the kite again?
He still needs waterproof kite material. The lab coat in Red's
workshop is waterproof. Give him the lab coat from the lab
downstairs, then use the battery with the kite when Ben gives it to
you. Push the kilte when Ben says "Now". Then pick up the battery
and plug in the Chron-o-John.
23)How can I get the lab coat?
Red might give it to you if you were trusted.. Hire on his assistant
by giving him the Help Wanted sign.
AS BERNARD-
1)When can I get a diamond for the time machine?
You need money. If Dr.Fred were to sign the contract in the safe in
his office...
2)How do I get Dr.Fred to open the safe?
Talk to Edna about the way to his heart..
Put him to sleep by using the Decaf coffee from the kitchen in his
mug.
3)I still can't get the safe combination.
He keeps his combination in his head. You need someplace to observe
Fred carefully. Watch Dr.Fred on TV in Edna's room
4)How do I get past this Edna person?
Don't you wish you could push her out of the way? The problem is
that sword on the statue. If only the statue were right-handed...
5)How can I get rid of the statue?
Have Hoagie get the left-handed hammer from Red's workshop, and
switch it for the right-handed one in Jed & Ned's room, then push
Edna.
6)Dr.Fred spins the dial too fast. How can I slow him down?
Maybe you could slow the TV image down... Get the video tape from
Green Tentacle's room.

Try instant replay.. Use the tape with the VCR, then press the red
record button. Rewind the tape, then change the right hand switch to
EP. Now play the tape again. Bernard now knows the combonation and
can open the safe.
8)How do I get the contract signed? Dr.Fred has disappeared.
He hasn't disappeared; he's up in the attic tied to a bed.
9)The IRS won't let me see Dr.Fred.

Try leaving the tentacle pattern with Betsy ROss.

You'll have to get Laverne captured again, then tell the guard you
have to go to the bathroom and head for the yard.
8)How can I get to the roof?
Use the fireplace!
9)How can I reach the disquise?
Get the crank from Bernard and use it with the crank box, then turn
the crank.
10)How can I get the guard to let me open the clock?
Get rid of him. What is the thing he loves to do? Chase down and
catch escaping humans. So get some to escape.

Get rid of the Kennel Guard. If you won the contest, you could use

Everything you need is in the mansion, and being small wears off.
2)How can I get to the switch? There's 10 tentacles guarding it.
Get the bowling ball from green Tentacle's room.
3)Old Purple Tentacle zaps me before I can do anything.
Maybe there's a secret passageway you haven't noticed yet all through
the game. Get Dwayne's door open when large, get Old Purple to zap
you, run through the mousehold when small, wait there until you grow,
and pick up the bowling ball when large.
4)Now Old Purple Tentacle won't let me throw the switch.
If only you could shoot HIM with the ray gun. There IS a mirrow in
the room. Talk to Old Pur into shooting Dr.Fred (Dialouge path
1,4,1,3)

0. About this walkthrough
This is the long-awaited walkthrough for LucasArts' Day
of The Tentacle. IMHO I don't think that this game is
as long or as difficult as Indy Jones or Monkey Island
2, but it does contain some beautifuly crafted puzzles.
Since the puzzles are all inter-linked, I've tried to
split the walkthrough into discrete sections. If you
only want a small hint, then take a look at the section
sub-headings and this should give you some idea of what
to do for each main task.
Caveat: This is a complete and utter spoiler and it
might wreck your enjoyment of the game. Use this ONLY
as a last resort since ALL the puzzles are logical (to
a degree), and if a complete doofus like me can solve
it, then so can you.
1. Intro
1.1 Secret Lab
Is found by getting bernard to open the clock
1.2 Battery Plans
Are found on the notice board in Dr Fred's lab
2. Getting Laverne down from the tree.
Get the can of red paint from the attic bedroom in the
house. Use the paint on the kunquat tree beside the
outhouses. Talk to George Washington and goad him into
cutting down a cherry tree, which he does, freeing
Laverne in the future.
3. Getting a disguise for Laverne.
Tell the guard you don't feel well and he'll take you
to the medical room. Take the tentacle chart from the
wall and return to the kennel. Now tell the guard that
you need to use the bathroom. Outside the Cron-o-John,
give the tentacle chart to hoagie.
Take the chart to Betsy Ross' room and put it on top of
the prototype flag plans. This will cause a tentacle
flag to appear in the future.
Go to the roof and take the crank from the flag pole.
Give it to Laverne.
Return to the kennel. Tell the guard you don't feel
well again. Climb up the chimney to the roof. Use the
crank handle in the crank box and get the flag. Use
the flag to disguise yourself as a rather fetching
tentacle.
4. Getting the battery for hoagie.
First of all, give the plans to Red Edison in the
basement laboratory.
4.1. Oil
Is found hidden in the kitchen pantry.
4.2. Vinegar
Take the bottle of wine from Ben Franklins room. Talk
to Jefferson and suggest that he uses the wine in his
time-capsule. Now give the can opener to Laverne.
Go to the old museum room on the second floor and use
the can opener on the time capsule. Pick up the stale
wine (vinegar) and give it to Hoagie.
4.3. Gold
Take the letter from the mailbox outside the front of
the house and give it to Bernard.
Give the letter to Dwayne, the depressed novelty goods
designer. Take the flag gun from his room. Go to the
main hall and use the flag gun with the lighter gun on
the table. Talk to the salesman about his cigars and
take one when offered. Give the cigar and the lighter
gun to Hoagie. Open the grating in the floor. Try to
take the chattering teeth, which will jump away from
you. Keep trying to pick up the teeth and eventualy
they will get trapped in the open grating. You can now
take them. Give them to Hoagie.
Give the cigar to Washington. When it has exploded,
give him the chattering teeth. Jefferson will light a
fire. Pick up the blanket from the floor. Go up to
the roof, and put the blanket over the chimney. This
will set off the smoke alarm, clearing the main hall
and leaving Hoagie free to take the gold quill. Take
it, the oil and the vinegar to Red in the basement and
he'll knock up a battery for you. Take it from the
bench once it is finished.
4.4. Charging the battery
Take the help wanted sign from the window in the
entrance hall and give it to Hoagie.
Take the bucket from the wash room. Open the cupboard
and take the brush as well. In the kitchen use the
pump on the bucket to fill it with water. Go up to
Washingtons bedroom. Push his bed to mess it up and
then call the maid by pulling on the cord. Once she is
distracted by the messy room you can take the soap from
her cart just outside the doorway. Now use the soap on
the bucket of water and go outside to the dirty
carrage. Wash the carrage with the brush and it starts
to rain (the clue for this is found when Bernard looks
at the windscreen of the car outside the motel). Ben
Franklin comes in from the rain and takes his kite to
his room. Take the help wanted sign to Red Edison, who
gives you a job. Now you can take the lab coat. Give
the coat to Franklin, who will make a kite from it.
When you are ready to launch the kite, use the battery
on it, and then push the kite when told. Watch the
animation as you charge the battery.
5. Getting the diamond for the time machine.
For this, you need to get Dr Fred some money. Talk to
him and you'll find out about his recurring nightmare
and why he is so broke.
5.1. Getting the contract.
Take the video tape from Green Tentacle's room, and get
both jugs of coffee from the kitchen. Take the swiss
bank account book from the desk in the office. Go the
Dr. Fred in the lab and give him some decaffinated
coffee.
5.1.1 Getting rid of Nurse Edna
Normaly, when you push Edna out of the room, she grabs
hold of the statue and springs back in, so...
Take the left-handed mallet from the bench in the
labatory. Go to Ned and Jed's studio and use the left-
handed mallet on the right-handed mallet to swap them
over. Watch the future repercussions.
Now you are free to push Nurse Edna out of the room.
(back to the main plot)
Use the videotape on the VCR and then look at the
monitor with Dr Fred on it. Press the REC button to
record Fred opening the safe. Switch the video to EP,
rewind the tape, and watch it again. Bernard memorises
the safe combination, so go to the safe (behind the
picture in the office) and open it. Take the contract.
5.2. Getting the contract signed.
Go up the the attic bedroom (via the chimney to avoid
the IRS guys) and free Dr Fred by taking the rope. Go
out of the window and use the rope on the pully. Go to
outside the front door of the motel, and use the
dangling ropeon Dead Cousin Ted, the birdbath. Return
to the roof, and pull on the rope.
Give the red paint to Bernard.
Use the red paint on Dead Cousin Ted, and then use Ted
with Dr Fred. When the coast is clear, use the rope on
Dr Fred, go to the roof and pull on the end of the rope
(Bernard will take Fred to the lab). Go to the
washroom and take the funnel from the cupboard. Return
to the lab, use the funnel on Dr Fred and then use the
regular coffee on the funnel. Once Fred is awake, get
him to sign the contract by telling him that you'll
sort out Purple tentacle yourself and that you offered
him a bribe.
5.3. Getting a stamp.
Take the ink from Dwaynes room. Go to Weird Ed Edision
and use the ink on his stamp book. When you get kicked
out of his room pick up the stamp, and return the book
to him.
5.4. Getting the cash
Put the stamp on the envelope and give it to Hoagie.
Put the envelope in the mail box. It will be collected
by the pony express.
5.5. Getting the diamond itself.
Use a T.V. in one of the guests rooms to watch the
advert, then use a phone to order a diamond. When it
arrives, give it to Dr Fred.
6. Winning the human contest.
6.1. Getting a contestant.
Go to the tasteless room and use the roller skates on
the mummy. Push the mummy out of the door. Talk to
the blue tentacle in the main hall to get a name tag
for your human. Go and put it on the mummy.
6.2. Nobble the competition.
Go to Green Tentacle's room, and turn on the hi-fi.
This will loosen the fake barf. To free it completly,
push the speaker over onto the floor. Turn off the hi-
fi before you go. Pick up the fake barf from the
entrance hall and give it to Laverne.
Use the fake barf with Harold.
6.3. Winning the best laugh.
Give the scalple to Bernard.
Use the scalpel on Oozo the Clown. Pick up the Box o'
Laughs, and give it to Laverne.
Use the Box o' Laughs with the mummy. Tell the
tentacles to come and judge the best laugh.
6.4. Winning the best smile.
Give the textbook to Hoagie.
Use the textbook on the horse (on the 2nd floor), who
will fall asleep. Take the dentures and give them to
Laverne.
Use the dentures with the mummy. Tell the tentacles to
come and judge the best smile.
6.5. Winning the best hair.
Get the spaghetti from the kitchen and give it to
Laverne.
Get the fork from the kitchen and give it to Laverne.
Use the (now) soggy noodles on the mummy, and then tidy
the 'hair' by using the fork on the mummy's head. Tell
the tentacles to come and judge the best hair.
7. Freeing the Edisons (and getting Laverne into the
lab).
7.1. To get rid of the kennel guard.
Give him the dinner certificate.
7.2.To shift the Edisons from jail.
Take the BooBoo-B-Gone from the desk drawer in the
office and give it to Laverne.
Use the BooBoo-B-Gone with the fence to get a stripey
cat.
7.2.1 Getting the stripey cat
Go to the attic room and use Ned's bed. Use the
squeaky matress with Jed's bed. Use the mattress again
to distract the cat and allow you to take the mouse.
Give the mouse to Laverne.
Use the toy mouse on the stripey cat. Go to the kennel
and use the cat. Off go the Edisons and the so does
the guard at the foot of the stairs.
8. Getting Power for Laverne's capsule.
Get the extention lead from the tasteless room and use
it with the cron-o-john plug. Use the other end of it
with the lab window. Go to the lab and use the
extention lead on the generator outlet.
8.1 Getting a hamster.
(You have to have upset Weird Ed to do this - if you
haven't done this then look at section 2.3). Go to
Ed's room and take the hamster. You can't put the
beastie in the cron-o-john, so you need to preserve it
in ice. Put the hamster in the ice machine.
Go to the ice machine and retrieve the hamster. Use
the microwave oven to thaw him out.
8.2 Drying the hamster.
8.2.1. Getting the sweater from under the sleeping man.
You'll need two dimes for this. The first is found in
the coin return tray of the out of order phone in the
entrance hall. To get the other dime, first go to the
room with the sleeping man in it. Close the door and
take the keys from it. Go out to the parking lot and
give the keys to the man in the ski mask who'll give
you his crowbar in return. Use the crow bar on the gum
stuck to the floor in the entrance hall. Chew the gum
to get the dime from it. Use both dimes in the
Ficklefingers coin slot (in the room with the sleeping
man) to reveal the sweater.
8.2.2 Drying the sweater
You'll need more dimes for this. Use the crowbar on
the candy machine to get the odd one or two. Put the
sweater in the tumble dryer (in the washroom) and use
the coins on the coin slot.
Go to the wash room and take the sweater from the
dryer. Use it on the hamster to warm it up. Go to the
lab and use the hamster on the generator.
8.3 Getting the hamster back.
Take the flyer from the rack in the entrance hall and
give it to Hoagie.
Put the flyer into the constitution suggestion box.
Use the new vaccum cleaner on the mouse hole in the
lab. Open the cleaner and take out the dustball.
9. That's It !!
It just remains for Hoagie to use the battery lead from
his cron-o-john.
10. End Game
For most of this, you can watch the animation. When
you regain control, go to Dwayne's room. On the way
Purple Tentacle will shoot you and shrink you. Go
through the mouse hole in Dwayne's room. When you
regain full size, take the bowling ball from Green
Tentacle's room and go to the labatory. Use the
bowling ball on the Purple Tentacles and watch some
more animation. To finish the game suggest to Purple
Tentacle that he shoot Dr Fred for a change.

I Wrote this FAQ because when I looked for one on GameFAQs, all
I found was a guide to the items and (no offense to the original
writer) it wasn't too helpful. :( So here is a guide I prepared
myself. This is my first walkthrough, so please don't poke fun out of
me if I get it wrong. :) I hope someone finds this useful.
I've attempted to write the guide in an order which will make sense.
In a game such as Day of the Tentacle, there is no real set path and
things can be done in many different orders. Hopefully this is one of
the easier ways. :)
1. The Walkthrough
After the intro, you begin as Bernard in the Motel Reception. Firstly
PICKUP the Flier in the rack and collect the Dime from the Pay Phone.
Go into the Office and PICKUP the Swiss bankbook from the desk and the
BooBoo-Be-Gone from the desk drawer. OPEN the Grandfather clock and
walk into the Darkpassage. After watching the sequence you are once
again in control of Bernard. You must find Dr. Fred's Super Battery
instructions which are hanging on the bulletin board of his lab. Once
you have these you will have to consult the mannual for the correct
patent number. You can now control Hoagie. Walk him to the front
of the Motel and OPEN the mail box. Take the letter from the mail box
and GIVE it to Bernard. Select Bernard again and PUSH the Lever
to turn off the Sludge-O-Matic. Leave the lab and go up the main
stairs. Walk into the first room and CLOSE the door behind you. PICKUP
the Keys and exit the room. Walk into the next room (the one to the
right of the Candy Machine) and GIVE the letter to the man inside.
PICKUP the Disappearing Ink and the Flag Gun inside the room. Leave
and walk into the room marked Private (to the right of Room 101).
PICKUP the Videotape on top of the Stereo. PUSH over the Speaker
on the right and then PUSH the on/off switch on the stereo. Exit the
room and continue down the corridor. Enter the room on the right. USE
the Disappearing Ink on the Stamp Album. PICKUP the Stamp and the
Stamp Album. Enter the room again and GIVE the Stamp Album back to Ed.
Pick up the Hampster. Exit the room and go up the stairway (closest
to the screen). Go through the door on the right and go out the
window. PICKUP the crank and walk to the chimney. OPEN the grating.
USE the Flag-gun with the Cigarette Lighter. TALK to the Cigar
Salesman and ask him for a Cigar. Walk to the Chattering Teeth. You
now have to chase the teeth into the Grating. Once captured, PICKUP
the Chattering Teeth. Walk to the Swingdoor (left of the fireplace)
and PICKUP both pots of coffee and the fork. Go into the door on the
left and OPEN the cabinent. PICKUP the Funnel. Exit back to the Party
room and walk through the double doors on the left. In the Reception,
PICKUP the fake Barf and exit the Motel (via the door on the left).
Walk to the Parking Lot and GIVE the keys to the Man in the Ski Mask.
He will GIVE you his Crowbar. Return to the reception and USE the
Crowbar on the gum with a dime stuck in it. USE the Gum with a Dime
stuck in it. Return to the room with the sleeping conventionner and
USE both Dimes on the Fickle Fingers Coin Slot (right hand side).
PICKUP the Sweater. Leave and USE the Crowbar on the Candy Machine.
PICKUP all the Quarters. Whilst you're here, USE the Hampster on the
Ice Machine (OPEN it first!). Go downstairs to the Laundary room and
place the Sweater in the Dryer. USE the Quarters on the Coin Slot.
Leave and return to the Lab. Pour the Decaf Coffee into the Prof's
mug.
Select Hoagie
Walk inside the Motel and OPEN the grandfather clock. GIVE the patent
application to Red Eddison and PICKUP the Lefthanded Hammer. Leave the
lab and walk into the Main Hall. Walk through the swinging door and
PICKUP the spaghetti and the oil. Walkthrough the door on the right
and PICKUP the bucket. OPEN the cabinent and PICKUP the brush. Exit
the room and USE the bucket on the water pump. Exit via the swingdoor.
Have Bernard GIVE Hoagie the Flier, the chattering teeth, the Cigar
and the Lighter. USE the flier on the suggestion box. Next, USE the
Cigar on Washington. After his teeth have been blown out, USE the
Chattering Teeth on him. After watching the Jefferson and Hancock
argue, PICKUP Blanket and leave the room. Walk up the stairs and enter
the first room (Washington's room). PUSH the bed and PULL the cord.
When the maid comes in to tidy the room, leave and PICKUP the soap
from the Maid's Cart. Ignore the second room for the moment and go
into the third room (Franklin's room). PICKUP the Wine and leave. Walk
to the stairs and have Bernard GIVE you his text book. USE the
textbook on the Horse. PICKUP his dentures when he falls asleep. Walk
into the opposite room, where Ned and Jed Edison are making a sculture
and switch the Right handed hammer with the left handed Hammer. Leave
and walkup the stairway. PICKUP the red paint. USE Ned's bed, then USE
Jed's bed. Then USE the Squeaky Mattress from Ned's Bed. After they
have been switched. USE the Squeaky Mattress. PICKUP the Squeaky Mouse
toy when the cat goes to investigate, then climb out the window. USE
the Blanket on the Chimney. Leave the hoUSE and return to where the
Chron-o-John is. USE the red paint on the Kumquat Tree. GIVE an excuse
to distract Washington et al. You can actually do this when they are
not around without giving an excuse too! Return to the room they were
in and PICKUP the gold-plated quill pen. Leave the room (you will
be intercepted by Washington but will get by him by blaming the fire
on Hancock!). Return inside and GIVE the Wine to Jefferson. TALK
to Washington and challenge him to chop down the "Cherry Tree"
outside. You can now select Laverne and this is where things become
a little more complicated.
Select Laverne.
TALK to the Tentacle Guard and tell him you don't feel well. In the
Doc's PICKUP the Tentacle Chart. Leave office. Beware not to try and
walk out the front door and walk into the Kennel when walking around
here, or you will become a prisoner again (just make another excuse!).
Walk into the door at the top. Walk through the door on the right.
Walk through the next door on the right. OPEN the drier and take out
the sweater (yes, it's only just finished!!) Now leave both rooms and
walk back into the Kennel (through the door marking it). Now tell the
Guard you need to go to the bathroom. Goto to the Chron-o-John and do
the following. GIVE the Tentacle Chart to Hoagie. GIVE the Scalpel
to Bernard. Have Bernard GIVE Laverne the BooBoo-Be-Gone, the Fake
Barf, the Fork and the Crank. Have Hoagie GIVE Laverne the Spaghetti,
the Dentures, the Can OPENer and the Mouse Toy.
Select Hoagie.
Enter the Motel and go upstairs into the room you haven't been into
yet (the middle of the three). In the room is Betsy Ross, trying
desperately to make the American Flag. USE the Tentacle Chart on the
Patterns. The American flag in the future will become a Tentacle Flag.
Select Laverne.
Return to the Tentacle Guard and subsequently the Kennel. Tell the
guard you don't feel well. Leave the docs and enter the top door.
Go up the Fireplace and onto the roof. USE the Crank on the Crank Box.
PULL the Crank and PICKUP the Flag. USE the Flag. You are now
disguised and can walk around freely. Jump down the Chimney and TALK
to the tentacle on the right. He will GIVE you a Name Tag. Now go to
the main reception. Walk past the Tentacle with the net and up the
stairs. Look at the Ice Machine and PICKUP the Hampster. Walk through
the first door and USE the Can Opener on the Time Capsule and PICKUP
the Vinegar inside. Leave and go into the second room. PICKUP the
Rollerskates and the Extension Cord.
Select Bernard.
Walk to the Party Room and USE the Scalpel on Ooze the Clown. PICKUP
the Box O' Laughs and GIVE it to Laverne.
Select Laverne.
USE the Rollerskates and the Name Tag on the Mummy, then PUSH the
Mummy. Walk to the stairway and USE the Dentures, the Spaghetti and
the Box O' Laughs on the Mummy. USE the Fork on the Mummy's head. Next
USE the Fake Barf on Harold. Walk right and ask the Judges to Judge
the winner of each category. After winning, walk downstairs into the
kitchen and USE the Frozen Hampster on the Microwave. USE the sweater
on the Hampster. Exit the Motel (you can safely do so). USE the
BooBoo-Be-Gone on the Fence. Then USE the Squeaky MoUSE Toy on the
Cat. Walk to the Kennel and USE the Dinner Certificate on the Guard.
PUSH the Switch and then USE the Cat. Now that the Tentacle with the
net is gone, walk to the Grandfather clock and OPEN it. USE the
Hampster on the Hampster Generator. After being punched, USE the
Built-In shop Vac on the Mouse Hole. OPEN the Hatch and PICKUP the
Dustball. USE the Hampster on the Generator, you won't be punched
again! The USE the Extension Cord on the Outlet of the Generator. Then
USE the Extension Cord on the Window. Finally return to the
Chron-O-John and USE the Extension Cord on the Plug. Laverne is now
ready to go. Now, GIVE the Vinegar to Hoagie.
Select Hoagie.
You now have all the part required for the Super Battery, so go to Red
Edison and GIVE him the Oil, the Gold-Plated Quill Pen and the
Vinegar. PICKUP the Battery. Have Bernard GIVE Hoagie the Help Wanted
Sign. GIVE the Help Wanted Sign to the Doc. PICKUP the Lab Coat and
leave the Motel. USE the Soap with the Bucket of Water, then USE the
Soapy Water on the Carriage. After Ben Franklin walks back into motel,
walk in after him. Walk upstairs. His room is the third one along.
GIVE him the Lab Coat. Once in the field, USE the Battery on the Kite.
Then PUSH the Kite. After the sequence, PICKUP the Battery and return
to the Chron-O-John. USE the Battery on the Plug. Hoagie is now ready
to go. GIVE the Red Paint to Bernard.
Select Bernard.
Walk to Nurse Edna's room, it's the room Opposite Ed's. PUSH Her. Now
USE the Videotape on the VCR. Look at the Monitor. Press the Red
Button to Record. Press the Rewind button, then press then SP/EP
switch on the Right. Now Play the Tape again. Eject the tape, then
walk downstairs to the room with the safe (the Office). OPEN the Safe.
PICKUP the Contract. Then walk to the Party room. Walk in the Window
and PICKUP the Rope. Walk out the Window and USE the rope on the
Pulley. Go down the Chimney and exit the Motel. USE the Rope on Dead
Cousin Ted. Return to the Roof and PULL the Rope. Return to the roof
once more and walk in the window. USE the Red Paint on Ted then USE
Ted with Doctor Fred. USE the Rope with Doctor Fred, exit via the
Window and PULL the Rope. After returning to the Lab, USE the Funnel
on Doctor Fred, followed by the Coffee. After the Doc wakes up, GIVE
him the Contract. When he refuses to sign it, tell him you'll get rid
of Purple Tentacle yourself. Then tell him you gave Purple Tentacle
a Bribe. Now send the Contract and the Stamp to Hoagie.
Select Hoagie.
USE the Stamp with the Contract, then USE the Contract with the
mailbox outside the Motel.
Select Bernard.
Go upstairs and turn on the TV in Room 101 and then PICKUP the Phone.
After the long sequence, you will be controlling the combination
of all three. Leave the room you are in and OPEN Room 101. Let Old
Purple Tentacle shrink you. Once he has done this, quickly walk into
Room 101 and through the mousehole. When you have returned to normal
size, PICKUP the Bowling Ball. Leave the Room and walk downstairs
to the Lab. USE the Bowling Ball on the Purple Tentacles.
I'll leave the last bit up to you. All you need do is TALK to Purple
Tentacle, I'm sure you'll work it out!
